HW: 433 SW: 387 April, 28 2014 CW: 229.4 GW: 180 Pant size was 34/36 Shirt size was 5x Shoe size 13w Now pants size 18 Shirt size xl to 2x Shoe size 11 to 12 Ring is on index finger instead of ring finger. Need to get resized but waiting until I am close to goal. Hit 200lbs lost this past week!

Hi Ginny, are you getting the right amount of protein as well as water? I find that having a stick of string cheese helps and is only around 50 calories. The other thing that helps me is gum. Not sure if your doctor allows for gum, but mine does not seem to mind and it seems to keep hunger at bay... must trick my mind…

Congrats on a smooth surgery. You are lucky, my surgeon wouldn't let me drink anything for 72 hours. That was actually the worst part of my surgery was nothing to drink, not even to rinse my mouth out...

I had gastric bypass in April and was able to lose 10% of my weight (43lbs.. Yeah my starting weight was a lot) beforehand but it was not a requirement. I did have to see a nutritionist for 3 months and I was able to lose 20 lbs during that time. I stopped drinking soda and just ate better. Salads for lunch and only…

I was back to work after a week off. I probably could have gone back after a few days considering no pain and no problems with mobility, but definitely got very tired by mid afternoon and needed to take naps. So a week was good for me and I have a desk job.

I don't think everyone has to do a 6 month diet, each doctor is different. My doctor asked me to do a 4 week diet before my surgery. I had already lost 20 lbs since my first appointment with him.
