  • I was on MF in 2013, lost 70 pounds in 6 months. I also lost 35 before that just counting calories, for a total of 105 pounds. I've since regained 35 after I went back to my old habits. Any ketotic diet will make you gain a FEW pounds once you reintroduce carbs but more weight gain than that is from running a calorie…
  • Therapy, getting enough sleep, structure in my day and not thinking of any foods as off limits.
  • I've had the Mirena for just over one year. It hasn't affected my weight or hunger level, as far as I can tell.
  • If you need shakes on the go, EAS Carb Advantage is good. I really like Quest Peanut Butter powder.
  • Thanks for the friendly welcomes! I was in a group a while ago and I had to write down notes about each poster to respond to them personally. It sounds weird and forced but truth is, it really helped me learn about the other members and made a casual check-in more formal and that translated into better adherence to my food…
  • What a supportive and inspirational group! I'd like to check in here (hopefully regularly...I need it!). I was a regular on an old WW board years ago but stopped visiting that site about 1 year ago. Prior to that I had been on it about 14 years! I started in the chat rooms then moved to the specialty groups. I found so…
  • I do keto an absolutely LOVE it. I've been in and out of keto for 3 years, lost 75 pounds in 6 months on it, in 2013. I feel completely different in vs. out of keto. In keto I sleep better, feel leaner and more energetic, actually feel happier, more organized as if my brain isn't scattered. My blood work and vitals are…
  • I can relate very much. Aside from finding a different, non-food, activity to make you happy, you may have to accept a neutral mood. It's okay to not be happy all the time. I've definitely experienced a change in my personality since I stopped overeating. I'm quieter, more reserved and observant of others. It's been a good…
  • Welcome back! I like junk food too but have a saying that's helped me make healthier choices. Instead of, "I want it, I can't have it." Say, "I can have it, do I want it?" Mentally, it helps me to have open access to the foods I want. Once I label those foods "off limits" my cravings for them go crazy. That said, don't…
  • I'm the same way, even craving nuts and sweets. I have a decaf coffee after cleaning up the dinner mess. I GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN until my 100 -200 calorie snack at 8pm. After my evening snack I watch a 45 minute show...Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Stranger Things, Shameless, etc. After that, I go upstairs and fold…
  • I took my 12 y.o. to a local park to play PG and he was, by far, the youngest person there. It was 9:30pm on a Thursday and I counted 26 adults playing PG, aside from us. We walked about 3 miles that night and logged many more at other parks and trails in the days since. I'm a fan!

  • I'm nursing a bad knee now so I'm focused solely on diet. I lost 105 pounds at one point and my regimen was probably, 80-90% diet and 10-20% exercise. Exercise didn't help me lose weight directly but it definitely improved my appearance and mood. Plus, it helped me have a more moderate approach to eating, less of that…
  • Try Halo Top ice cream. It's pricey but actually tastes like ice cream and an entire pint is around 250 calories. My favorite flavors are Birthday Cake and Lemon Cake. The mint chip is good also.
  • I'm 5'6", in my 40's and SW:260, CW:187. At one point I was 155 pounds, still one pound "overweight" but I looked and felt fantastic. My goal is 150, then I'll reassess.
  • I think they are mainly a product of their decisions and to a teensy weensy degree, their genetics.
  • I started at 260 and it wasn't until I lost about 40 pounds before anyone commented. I noticed a physical difference around 30 pounds. I went on to lose 75 more pounds and people didn't stop talking about it and some I hadn't seen in a while didn't recognize me. Seriously, I had acquaintances ignore me, people I knew…
  • Of course it's okay, it's perfectly normal! Keep doing your thing and realize your feelings and thoughts aren't always true. Learn to recognize these negative thoughts as "brain spam" and don't engage them. I love, love, love meditation to help recognize but not engage the brain spam. Insight Timer is a good, free, app…
  • Warm chicken broth and 2-3 oz. of rotisserie chicken (white meat) or 2 oz. buffalo chicken lunch meat, 1/2 c. 2% Greek yogurt.
  • Closed because I don't follow a CICO diet plan, don't ask for diet advice and have no interest in unsolicited input.
  • UA cold gear tights and if it's below 30F, windbreaker running pants (Road Runner brand) over them. Lululemon Run and Done head/ear band with light hat on top. Whatever running gloves Costco (HEAD) or TJ Maxx has. Tissues.
  • How little space there is between the bottom of my rib cage to the top of my hips. How awesome it feels to put my hands in my hips...all bossy lady-like, and my fingers touch! In short, dimensions. My bone structure is so much smaller than I thought when heavier.
  • Quest PB powder
  • I need positive motivators, something to draw me in the right direction. I envision myself being fit and active on dream vacations, healthy well into my old age along with the usual physical appearance wants. For me to just say I don't want to be fat isn't enough. I met that goal and my motivation waned.
  • I am doing it alone but rely heavily on my internet weight loss friends and groups. I belong to a lot of FB weight loss groups, Sparkpeople, and read a lot of blogs. So, I guess I'm not really alone.
  • Greasy fast food. I can eat a lot of it, feel like garbage yet be hungry 2 hours later and since I already ate a Big Mac may as well eat...
  • I wouldn't strive for a particular size in clothing. Every body is different and at 120 pounds, it's impossible to tell what your body proportions will be. Maybe you'll be all booty and those size 4's wouldn't fit, maybe they would, who knows? I think everyone can become comfortably thin.
  • When I am finally at goal, what will I blame my life problems on then? Lol. <<<kinda true but I also worry about looking older in my face.

  • Twice a week, Thursday and Monday. Like to bookend my weekend, keeps me honest.
  • On the path. 84 pounds down, 20-30 more to go. Using a commercial diet plan, did therapy and tons of behavioral change reading/work. I think I'll be "on the path" for years, even after reaching goal.
  • I love it when someone compliments my weight loss! I realize I didn't look good when I was 75 pounds heavier, I knew it then and know it now. They're not telling me anything I don't know.
