Orthopedic nurse practitioner here

I just wore my heart rate monitor and added it in as circuit training and put in the calories manually
-
You can just use a heart rate monitor. It's more accurate anyway

It sounds like it's working for you. How many calories are you eating? I generally try to eat clean about 80% of the time to give my self a little leeway here and there, so don't totally restrict certain things. But I know in my own experience that if I give myself free reign without restricting some stuff I end up over…

I have Sodexo at my hospital too. Not too shabby
-
I don't weigh either but I also don't eat any of my exercise calories. It seems to be working just fine. I've lost 22 lbs in 14 weeks.
-
I've done this before...and eaten pre-packaged food like Lean Cuisines.. And it would work most of the time. But then if I forgot to bring my dinner to work or didn't have any in my freezer I would eat terribly. The best thing that has worked for me is learning how to eat appropriately. I feel like shakes and frozen…

Skinnytaste.com has a bunch

Ahhh I miss Bennigans too! I loved their monte cristo. I'll have to go to cheddars. They just opened one in my hometown in Florida
-
I mix vodka with some water and Mio. The sweet tea one is pretty amazing
-
I fit dessert into my calories almost every single day :)
-
OP- Is that Bennigans??
-
P90x3 Pilate this morning, hoping to get a run in this afternoon. B)

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic...

I've been kind of lurking on this thread for a while. I just recently started to actually comment on stuff and do more than just the logging. But this seems like a good way to make me a little more accountable and stay the course

I'm pretty much the same height and weight as you. Granted, I'd like to get down to 120.. but my biggest trouble spot is the same as yours. I lift 3 days a week and have noticed that they have improved, granted they aren't gone but I'm going to get pushing the weights to see what I can manage to do about them.
-
Restarted Chalean this morning :) I was pretty happy with how much more weight I'm able to lift already on this round!
-
Yoga. Or a run. It really helps me clear my mind
-
Started back again January 26, down 20.4 lbs in the last 11.5 weeks
-
it's relatively close to the HRM readings I have gotten (the battery is dead on mine currently). I lift heavy though, which has a bit to do with the actual energy expenditure
-
I log it as 30 minutes of circuit training

Skinnytaste.com has a tonnnn of amazing recipes that are easy to cook on the weekends and get everything made for the following week. She even has a lot of freezer friendly recipes that make closer to 8 servings that you could easily portion out and freeze for later.

5'6". SW 145, CW 124.4, GW 120. I'm eating around 1400 calories a day and I'm probably going to change my goal to be 0.5 lb per week as I get ready to re-start Chalean Extreme next week and hope that I can get a little more muscle on me. I've been losing anywhere between 0.5 and 2 lbs per week. It's pretty random. Feel…

I've only done one. Buuuuuut. I will say that the most important thing for your first one is to have fine. I had a terrible time with the transitions because I was all amped up and couldn't figure out what to do with my bike and got very flustered. I still killed it.

I'm about to finish my last week of lean. I've always done something else after finishing ie. P90X3, Turbofire. Has anyone seen good results doing the program essentially back to back? I have lost a decent amount of weight (almost 21 lbs) by adding in some extra cardio during lunch Monday-Friday. I have some jiggly parts…

Friday, it helps me to stay on track during the week and not order take out or snack mindlessly because I know I have to weigh on Friday. And I usually have one splurge meal or two over the weekend and I don't want to get myself all worked up by weighing in after one not so healthy meal
-
I stick to my goal calories. It's personal preference. You're giving yourself a bigger deficit if you don't eat them back but some people find that they're hungry, sluggish if they have a large deficit. Do what works best for you
-
I bought the select tech weights. They're a little pricey but they're a great investment. And I do Chalean Extreme. I'm actually on my 6th round. It's amazing and if you don't want to buy weights you can do the whole program with resistance bands

I used to work nights as a nurse and I got wayyyyyy off course because they only thing they ever really had in the cafeteria was fried stuff like chicken tenders and jalapeno poppers. I ate that literally every night. Finally I got to the point where none of my scrubs were fitting right and I did weight watchers/calorie…

Same.
