I've been doing this for years. I wake up between sleep cycles and typically want something sweet. Sometimes in the past, I would wake up and eat 2-3 times a night. Terrible habit, which leaves me feeling unrested. If there is chocolate in the house, I will go for that and milk. Easy way to blast through 400cals without…

I don't think this is an accurate way to log because you are not lifting for the entire 45min. There is a lot of resting. I don't log the calories as cardio. I just keep track of my sets as strength, which is not overly accurate either. I log no calories but I'm not too strict with my calories and will eat a little more if…

I like Wendy's for "I didn't pack lunch" days. Ultimate chicken grill, no sauce and 1/2 bun = 250cal, side salad instead of fries=20, and I usually just use 1/2 of the ranch=50. I don't find I need sauce with the chicken, it's not dry maybe because of the 1/2 bun but sometimes I'll use the other 1/2 of the ranch on the…

That's only because the Colonel puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly.

Roasted or fried in the pan is great. Salt, pepper, the red pepper flakes are all good. My favorite is a lot of fresh basil. The basil has a slightly sweet flavor to offset the bitter sprout = delish!

I'm disappointed, this comment seems to be overlooked. Too funny.

Have you tried wearing a hat? I find it helps to soak up the sweat and keep my glasses from slipping constantly.

<Labradane, Rupert. He is the oldest and the best $50 I ever spent. Princess Bella is the Doberman, and Maggie is our new addition. Some kind of pit mix. She's sweet and loving and learning fast. You would never know she was born in a ditch from the way she takes over the bed any chance she can get.

You may be over cooking the fish. It really cooks fast and should still look sort of moist when it's finished. I like all types of fish and seafood but I know when Hubby cooks it @350 for 45min, it's a rubbery mess. 20min - unless it's really thick salmon shoudl be fine.

Good Stuff. I have also roasted a whole chicken in the crock pot. It turned out great!

I have made food for our dogs before when I wasn't working so much. Our dobbie is much pickier than the other but she would eat the rice and veg if it tasted like meat. My general recipie was, boil chicken thighs in a big pot of water. Once cooked remove bones and some skin if its too fatty. Then I would put in the rice…

warm up walk (5min) and 2miles continuously at 5.5mph (11min mile). This is the second time ever that I have done 2miles continuously at that speed :)

Quick mile this morning. 1mile in 10min11sec. On the treadmill, quick warm up walk and then I alternated 1min intervals of 5.5 and 6mph for the mile.

Alright, I'm in as long as it's not an elimination challenge and I can't promise to be here every week. I'm Sarah, 32/169lbs, GW~130lbs. Today I did the warm up walk 5min @ 3.5mph and then finished the mile in 12min 45 sec, running at 5.5mph.

I have had migraines since I was a child and have discovered that my biggest triggers are (in order) food, weather, and sleep regularity. I regard to food, aged proteins are big no-no for me. These include hard cheeses, the longer they are aged, meaning more fragrant and more delicious they are the worse the are for me;…

pro-gun I am however, anti-spoons. I am sure spoons are the reason I need to loose weight.
What did you do when you completed it? I'm a little nervous about not having a program. I am traveling abroad in August so I plan to keep running for 30 minutes etc and then when I get back I want to do a 5k somewhere local and then I'm not sure where to go after that.
Way to Go! I started c25k last fall…

I started first on MFP but Hubby joined soon after. We just ran our first 5k together last weekend. It was my first, first and his first in a while. It's wonderful to have support right in your own house and everyday life.

I have noticed my nails too :) but was unsure because they always row a lot this time of year.

Check out 100 push ups / 200 sit ups. Just google it. It's a 3x a week program to build up. You can also do dips with a chair.

Night time eater here. I changed my categories to include night eating and I usually log it for the following day for several reasons. It's usually after midnight, I usually go to bed near my calorie limit, and I like to know that I can work off last nights snacks with todays workout.

mushrooms and raw oysters. I was the same as the OP about the oyster. Now I get them every chance I can.

potassium helps us play and bananas are so easily portable. Definately good.

Yum, that veggie pasta sounds good! Basil is apparently my spirit plant and over running the yard. I have not tried it but I can imagine the combination of basil and balsamic would be teriffic.

Opps! I just realized I posted this in Food and not Recipies. Sorry.

I have tried this and it was good. Be careful about the moisture or the crust will be mushy! A few tips that work are 1. use paper towels to press out the cauliflower moisture before making the crust. 2. Do not make it too big. A couple of small pizzas will work better than 1 big one. 3. Take it easy on the toppings, esp…

It was new to me.

We have 2 large breed dogs. We take a brisk 45-60min walk in the mornings and they sleep the rest of the day :) We recently got new furniture and Hubby does not want them on it. We use mouse traps to deter them. We used them when our doberman was a puppy and counter theif. They work great! We don't even set them anymore,…

I recently learned a new trick from IT to make more secure passwords. It's so simple, I can't believe I didn't know this. Pick a sentance that has meaning for you and then use the first letter of each word as the password. Adding capitals and numbers will make it even better. e.g. Sarah joined MFP in 2011 and has lost 8…
