  • Edy's slow churned ice cream- mint chocolate an french silk. So good and half the fat/calories. I have a half cup before bed every night for the past ten years ;) my ritual must have! Even on maintenance or dieting.
  • Avocado's are really good if you like them, a good source of heart healthy fat and has 150-200 calories in one. Healthy snack, not over filling and will get you to 1200 :) good luck!!!!
  • There are really some really sad people in this world. The reason they are saying those things to you is because there is something DEEPLY wrong with them, not you. It still is hurtful, but keep in mind that these are people who are so miserable with their own lives, they are sitting on this site and making nasty, vile…
  • and exercise. 1200 is your baseline, if you exercise 100, 200, 300, 400 calories a day, you get to eat those. So an aerobics class for an hour gives you almost 500 extra cals to eat bringing you up to 1700.
  • When I started I hadn't been exercising at all, I could barely walk a mile. So I did the Couch to 5k (3x a week walking to running program over 9 weeks) and a pilates video 2x week (30 mins. a session) for strength training. This helped my body get ready for harder workouts later, and the interval training of the…
  • Low carb for sure- refined sugars, etc. are way harder to burn than fat and stick around way longer. If you are exercising, it is so much more efficient to have fat to burn than carbs. Low fat foods also seem to always substitute the fat with more carbs or other non-healthy things, so low-fat really does nothing.
  • I also have 3 boys under 5 and it didn't make me lose either! My Fitness Pal has now helped me lose 30 pounds. Stick to it and you will see a miracle, I promise. I have not been this weight since high school, and I am 31 with two toddlers and a baby! I would say the biggest thing to concentrate on is portio control and My…
  • Hi! I breastfed 3 babies and when I went to Weight Watchers they said that it burned at least 500 extra calories per day. I would not suggest going under 1800 calories (without added exercise) and definetly take your prenatal vitamins :) I would give a quick call to maybe your OB and verify.... Good luck!
  • I would say fish and rice pilaf? Swordfish, scallps, salmon, shrimp, all very good, healthy and lower cal than beef or creamy pasta sauces, etc. Good luck!
  • I don't have the app for C25K, but I have been doing it. I printed out the schedule and taped it week to week to my tread mill. I am on Week 6, and haven't stumbled yet. Considering I was barely exercising before this except for one month of walking 3X week at 3-4 MPH, it can be done!!! I just completed Week 5, Day 3 on…
  • Hi! Welcome! I will tell ya, I have been counting calories on my own for 5+ years with little success, couple pounds here and there. With this sight, I have lost 10 pounds in a little over a month (in addition to the 10 pounds I lost over the 3 months prior to finding this site). Please note though that I went from light…

  • Granola bars, oranges and apples, pretzels, yogurt. All 100 cals or less and fills you up for another two hours or so. With a light breakfast, lunch and regular dinner, you won't be breaking your daily limit with all 4 snacks.
  • I just typed in pilates for a pilates video and put the minutes.
