I'm good so far on these drugs. Have not used Nitro yet. Might bleed a bit longer from a shaving cut.

Kmm7309, my doc took me off low fat AHA diet even though I lost some weight and gave me the South Beach diet book after my blood chem showed too much sugar and bad lipid ratios. That was earlier this year. Now I watch carbs/sugars, and bad fats and count calories and eat frequently.... Sounds bad to tell others (like…

WickedPixie... ahhh, soups. Yes, I'll get back into those too when colder weather comes back here to WI.

21 mile road bike ride at 15 MPH avg.

Jcol, thanks for sharing. The Cardiac rehab worked for me too. I lost 30 pound since mine in Feb, so no worries about the weight lost journey. Even if the weight jumps up a few pounds, just get back on track or resume what works for you and let time do its thing. Glad you are alive. Don't let that feeling go away.

LOL, doing this with success too. But its getting difficult to "brand" my diet under any one program. Its hard to explain. I evolved and morphed my diet to get here because it works for me. Examples - Eat kind of like South Beach phase 2 most of time... really phase 1.5 :-) No bread, pasta, potato, rice, and sweets - avoid…

wd61... thanks for sharing. Are you liking the vegetarian diet? My doc has me watching bad carbs and glycmic index.

Amazing story... Rely on family. That is what family is for. Walk. Walk everywhere if you can. Good luck.

OK WD, so you did not revert. I don't think I will either. I'm passionate and motivated. My neighbor and my uncle, after 2 years or so...not so much. Great story of your success. Keep up the great work.

for recording.... say you walk 60 min but did 8 sprints on the walk. You might record 52 min at 3 MPH and then 8 min at running 7 MPH...or something like that.

go for a nice casual 1 hour walk BEFORE dinner... then add those calories to your 220. This will give you some more options

Wow, that was close. Hope your feeling much better. I'm learning that women's heart attack symptoms are harder to detect.
-
Glad you all made it thru the attack. I'm in Cardio Rehab and the many of the other patients tell me of those who did not make it.
-
I did start a group as suggested.... Heart Attack Survivors.

Got it. Love it.

You should be OK with non meat proteins. Watch alcohol consumption too. I use Myfitnesspal to track foods for my personal gout science. Different people may have different triggers. Good luck.
