Yeah, body pump is meant for toning which is good since I really don't want to bulk up. But, you do gain muscle, especially if you eat right (no supplements, high protein whole foods). I make sure to eat at least 4 oz of chicken breast within an hour after my workout. My shoulders are very defined and my thighs are…

Another thing to think about it group exercise classes. I personally do body pump and CX worx. These are great classes taught by certified instructors, and I have seen significant results with them. They keep you motivated and give you a push- you're not going to walk out in the middle of a class!

A healthy body fat percentage for women is about 20-30% (24 and below is fit range). Some sources consider 33% healthy as well. 19% is usually considered too low. What method did they use to measure? I have a scale that claims to measure body fat, but it is not very reliable (gives me different readings back to back). It…

I've been trying to get into spin but the seats hurt my booty! haha

I eat whole foods instead of processed foods with artificial sweeteners. I find myself craving less. I do enjoy dessert after dinner so I'll have a small bowl of low fat ice cream( I measure out 1 serving!) Otherwise I'll keep eating other foods until I finally give in and eat the ice cream anyways.

Thanks guys! I do weights 2-3 times per week (body pump). What apps are there?

I wear a heart rate monitor and I burn about 600 calories in 60 min.

Whole foods are foods that are minimally processed such as fresh vegetables, whole grains and meats ( the less ingredients on the label the better). I like knowing what is in my food and that I'm eating foods full of nutrients - not synthetic fillers.

Fructose (the sugar in fruit) is has a different chemical composition then other sugars such as maltose and lactose. Thus they are all broken down differently. I'm not sure the exact relation to weight loss but the sugars are definitely different. This is just what I remember from an intro to nutrition lecture I attended.

Athenos reduced fat feta! They make fat free too but that doesn't taste very good and it is heavily processed. I sometimes use Parmesan cheese instead of feta in my Mediterranean style salads. Hope that helps :)

Thanks guys! Recipes?

It's good in baked spaghetti and healthy Mac and cheese :)

Also check out the Fooducate App. it will give foods you scan grades on how healthy they are (rated and explained by dieticians). That way you will be able to tell how to get the most nutritional bang for your buck :)

Walmart has cheap produce, whole wheat bread, natural peanut butter, cereal and fiber one bars. A lot of grocery stores like Safeway and giant double coupons up to a dollar. If you have an iPhone make sure to download shop savvy or red laser to compare prices while you're shopping. Also check out amazon.com to buy items in…

You can create your own exercise. I usually wear a heart rate monitor to keep track of the calories I burn. Then I just create a "body pump" exercise and input the calories I burned. Its way too much work to record everything!
