Yep. I haven't worked out (besides cleaning my house) in 2 weeks and I've lost about 2lbs.

Hahahaha! :D Always fun.. ;)

Are you making sure to eat extra calories for breastfeeding? I have read and read and read around 300 extra calories per day. Make sure you're getting your bare minimum of 1200 per day as well. So, you'll want to be around 1500 calories per day. I don't breastfeed (my Son is 3 now and I think it'd be pretty hard to get my…

I'm a SAHM to a 3 year old. It's hard and I sometimes have to stick him in his room to play, but I get it done. I try to get my workout done in the morning before he wakes up. Plus, I have more energy and can preform better and burn more calories that way.

Uhm, conflict doesn't include calling each other horrible names. "You're a fat slob and I'm embarrassed to be seen with you." just completely blows my mind away. There is no conflict there. He is an a**hole. Plain and simple. And FYI - if I called my Fiance a nasty fat slob and told him I didn't ever want to be seen with…
-
My question for you is, why would you be with someone who called you names like that? What disrespect that is to you. I see you have kids, which makes it even worse. They don't need to grow up and hear that kind of talk. Total BS!

Yes, get a good 20 minutes EVERY day for some NATURAL Vitamin D! After that, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! You don't want to look like a leather couch and all ;) That's NOT sexy!

I also have to disagree. Everyone will handle sodium differently. It will catch up to you if you're taking too much in. It's true - you do need some sodium to live and function, but only around 500mg/day. Most people take in well over 4,000mg/day which is where you're going to get your issues. The other factor is where…

3500 calories to lose 1lb of fat/week. Your going to want a deficit of 500 calories per week (however you choose to do this is up to you) to lose 1lb/week. My BMR is 1990. Calories are 1490. I get a 500 deficit from just eating right. I work out on top of that and eat back my exercise calories, making sure I stay around…

You need around 500mg of sodium per day to LIVE. I would say 1,000mg is a good goal!

Hahaha! Love it ;) My favorite to "agree" with is carbs. Got to cut the carbs out completely.. because never mind that they make your brain FUNCTION! ;)

I have a friend tell me all the time - "My Coach told us that if we were not peeing every hour on the hour, we were not drinking enough water." I try to live by that now ;) My friend is very wise!

Awesome! Thank you for sharing! Mine will be quite a bit more for calories because I will be using real sugar, but hey, it may be worth it!

Totally agree! 2lbs in 11 days is more than enough to start a healthy life.

Working out releases more testosterone which would up your drive.

I have pretty big boobs and I cannot even notice it there once I'm working out. I have had a HRM with and without a chest strap and I prefer having one for accuracy. And for how much more accurate - 100% lol. I have a very nice HRM that gives me no troubles - $35 at Walmart (and many online stores including Amazon). Look…

Strength training calories really depend on so many factors. Even a HRM won't be able to give you an accurate reading. Plus, unless you're doing hours of strength training, those little calories you burn could not possibly equal the same amount of time and calories burned doing cardio.

Someone who is looking at only your weight and "dumping" you because of it, is a child. Plain and simple. You don't want someone like that anyway. You're right - you want someone who will look past it and love you for who you are. If you were really connecting, then it was on him and his views on what women should look…

My Grandma had a tummy tuck after gastric bypass. She had it back in Feb. and is STILL recovering. Has to get it drained constantly, tubes are still in, etc. She has not had a good experience at all. I couldn't ever do it.

My elliptical doubles what my HRM says. and MFP doesn't double, but is still a good 30 over what the HRM says. I would average them and think about investing in a good HRM - preferably one with a chest/arm strap for best accuracy.

Run around your neighborhood - it's FREE!

Fruits and vegetables have NATURAL sugars. The only sugar you want to worry about is added/processed sugars - pop, juice, candy, etc. Eat your 5 servings of fruits and veggies everyday.. they will help with weight loss, not damper it!
-
Do not add salt, butter, etc. to it and you should be fine! I love my organic popcorn with nothing added. I could eat it 24/7!
-
It's not so much "starvation mode", but your metabolism is adjusting and has hit it's peak. That is when you need to switch up your routine.. eat more calories, workout at different times, etc for a month or so!

I gained 75lbs with my pregnancy. I needed some of the weight though. I was underweight around 120lbs with my height (5'11), but did I need it all, God?! Haha :) Anyway, I got up to 200lbs, lost 40lbs a few weeks later (water weight, baby weight, etc.), then slowly over the last two years gained it back. I'm now back down…

I am not a big fan of green tea. I like orange pekoe (black tea, which is essentially green tea with "aged" leaves) and notice it helps me in more ways than the green tea. Not so much for weight loss, but it just makes me feel better. Are you putting a ton of sugar in your tea (I think I read you had it without..)? I…

I agree. That is a LOT of protein. I have a goal of 68 grams a day and that is what every site I have checked says to be at or around. There is no way I'm going to consume 162 grams!

Thank you. I know I read some where late one night what happens. I've not gotten much sleep lately and have totally blanked out, lol. That is what I read.

Stop bashing me.. geez! If I was misinformed (which you all agree I was) then you correct me! And to clarify, it does get stored (maybe not as fat).
