  • working out surely doesn't hurt. You will use the carbs during the workout. You should be back in ketosis within a couple days if you are out of it. I would not worry about it. It helps to eat carbs every now again even on low carb to fuel the furnace...
  • I take .137, and I try to take it on an empty stomach. Although the time of the day does vary because I am too forgetful...LOL
  • I wouldn't consider it a plateau unless you stay the same weight for over a month...the scale might not be moving, but you might be losing inches. Some people will have a carb day to jumpstart their weight loss again, but I am telling you that everytime you have a carb day, it is harder and harder to stay low carb...imo
  • After almost 3 weeks, I finally lost a pound :) I only have 13 to go, so I can tell the last few pounds are going to torture me...LOL

  • I use splenda. I use the walmart brand of Mio to add to my water. It uses sucralose(splenda). I love it.

  • Thanks, I won't give up...I have come too far. I have lost a total of 61 lbs. and have 14 to go. I would just like to say that I met my goal...I guess I am getting impatient now that the end is near...lol

  • Broccoli, greens, spinach, avocado, cabbage, etc
  • I apologize, you can have the endulge on induction. back when I first started induction, it seems like they said not to. my bad...lol
  • you can also get your "veggies" through smoothies or shakes. I don't have any recipes, but there are a lot of them out there that use spinach
  • remember when you are logging carbs to subtract fiber and sugar alcohol from your total carbs...it makes a big difference
  • very typical during induction
  • The main things that I see is not enough fiber, you shouldn't be eating the endulge candies during induction, and you might be underestimating your calories on the bacon...not sure. I would cut down on the amount of saturated fat you are eating. Fiber should be about 25 grams a day. Calories can range from person to…
  • try the walmart brand of mio water additive instead. it uses sucralose
  • It is completely normal to stall. I have stalled for up to three weeks before. There are so many reasons why. Sometimes your muscles will hold onto water when they are "repairing" themselves after a workout. Women, of course, retain water for too many reasons to count. Drink as much water as possible. I drink between 80…
  • about 18 months all together
  • in the guac, sour cream, and cheese, you only had about 5 net carbs. chicken has only a trace, and onions only have a couple

  • That sounds high for what you ate...did you deduct any fiber from the number...fiber does not affect blood sugar levels

  • Before getting pregnant with my third child, I lost 85 lbs. on Atkins. This round, I have been on Atkins for one month and lost 9 lbs. I only have 14 more to lose, so I won't see huge numbers this time. It is a good diet if you do it right and choose veggies for your carbs. Towards the end you have to add back good carbs…
  • If I am going to drink alcohol, I stick to vodka. You can mix it with practically anything. I use diet cranberry mostly, but you can also do coke zero or any other diet drink. I don't really like rum, but it is also a good alternative. I don't recommend beer because it bloats so bad and basically just turns straight to…
  • how many calories have you been doing and how many net carbs? how long has it been since you have lost weight?
  • I agree about the pancakes. I have had them myself. I also will make me a piece of toast on sara lee 45 and delightful (7 carbs) and top it with peanut butter sometimes. It is not super low carb, but still doable. I have a recipe that I am going to try for a big chocolate muffin...I will tell you how it turns out.
  • you are welcome :)
  • I used them the first time I did Atkins, but haven't used them since. If you are sticking to your carb count, you should be fine. Every time you fall off the wagon, it usually takes a full two days to go back to burning fat again instead of carbs. They can be a good motivator at the beginning though.
  • I wish I had a basement...here in Texas those don't exist...lol

  • this sounds good, I will have to try it.
  • I like mixed nuts, ham/cream cheese/pecan pieces roll ups, pickled okra, cubed pepperjack cheese, avocado
  • Low carb foods include most meats, cheeses, eggs, green leafy vegetables, several other vegetables(read nutrition information) nuts, some fruit (mainly your berries and cantaloupe). The best thing to do if you want to go low carb is start reading labels. Fiber and sugar alcohol can be deducted from the total carbs because…
  • I have been in that situation many of times. Just drink diet coke or water. Make sure you eat something before you go--just in case they don't have what you like when you are out. You can do it! Then report back to us the next day...good or bad...lol

  • I am doing really well. Since I went back to low carb I have lost 4 lbs. in about 2 weeks-it could have been more if I had been doing the Atkins style carbs, but my husband really didn't want me to do that. But the best part is I am seeing a difference in cellulite on my legs. Since your body uses fat for energy instead of…
