  • We recently had to do this with my great grandfather. We had to explain he was endangering other peoples lives and that isn't okay. He now also lives with my grandparents. He is VERY independent; works out daily and goes out and whatnot. It was not an easy transition. Good Luck!
  • HAHAHAHAH! I like this guy. :)
  • Is this the app that is red with a white check, called Nike+Ipod?
  • It would be 27 weeks total...so a lose of 2.2 pounds a week. I will be happy just as long as I drop a good amount of weight by then, Thank you for your constructive advice
  • I am going to still watch my calories and workout, I have all plans of staying within my goals on Christmas Eve and Day, however, New Years will probably be the day I don't do so well. For one I drink an awful lot on New Years so that will really be the downfall and because of all the festive drinking I will probably not…
  • I am setting the goal to keep me on track. As long as I am losing weight and getting closer to that goal, I don't mind how long it takes...I am hoping to get closer as the months progress. I love the way you think...your quote, "That way, no matter when I accomplish my goals, I'm a winner." is something I need to keep in…
  • Thank you, that is quite helpful:)
  • This gave me extreme hope!!!! I am working hard on the food aspect of it. That is why I became active with MFP again. I had dropped off because I had friends who were inactive and needed the support. I was so happy when I actually got on a computer and saw these forums to ask questions and find active members:)
  • So do I need to raise my goal from a 6 month time period to say a 9-12 month time period? I am not sure I completely follow what you are saying.
  • I am 5' 3"
  • Do you happen to know any workout or have any suggestions as to how to accomplish that. I am really struggling. I go to Zumba twice a week, and a cardio class twice a week and workout with a friend or alone on the other days of the week. I generally take off one day a week and have been eating better. Any other advice or…
  • That is the ultimate amount I want to lose, maybe 70 pounds total. I weight 190 right now and would like to be between 120-130.
  • I've seen on a lot of these message boards people saying bump....what does that mean?
  • I sometimes prefer someone to go with me for motivational support...but most the time I like to workout alone. No one to make you feel rushed to leave or pressured to stay, I can huff and puff without fear of someone judging me, I don't feel like I have to worry or focus on anyone other than myself. Its a nice detox and…
  • I have noticed after a long day of work- if I go home and eat, I am less likely to get off my bum. And I miss running so much...I just didn't want to damage my body. THANK YOU!!!!!
  • Well, awesomely enough so far, everyone seems to agree on the eating small meals a day. That was one of my biggest concerns! I actually was given a food scale so I will have to put it to good use...I never understood the importance of it before. You all are wonderful! Thank you so much!!!!!
  • that was so incredibly helpful!! I used to run cross country and track and have weak knees and ankles...I am not sure if that is due to the running or other factors. Because I have gained so much weight I am scared running will hurt them worse because of the pressure my weight will put on them.
  • We have VERY similar music tastes because I literally have all of these. hah
  • Genius- Adding this app STAT! thank you:)
  • YOU GUYS ARE SERIOUSLY AMAZING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
  • It's tough. I have been trying for about two years on and off to get the weight off. You just have to remind yourself every time why you are doing this. I am finally starting to see small changes in my clothes but it has been a long time coming. I was just like you at first and didn't know if I could follow through because…
