  • Home scale showed me at 117.8 which would be a 2.6 loss since last week.. the 'official office biggest loser scale' had me as a 3.2 loss from last week (the numbers for work scale are higher than home scale shows ).... but I'm not gonna get too excited cause I know once I'm able to keep solid food in my system for more…

  • Ran a 5k today for the Wounded Warrior Project. Finished in 43:03. Then was humbled and greatly moved when one of the Wounded Warriors in attendance put the finisher medal around my neck and thanked me. All I did was walk/jog a measly 5k.. while this warrior almost sacrificed his life to give me the freedom to run that 5k!…

I did two minute intervals of jogging at 4.5 then walking at 3.5. my cool down was at a speed of 2.5. I wanted to stay longer but got creeped…

  • Hi everyone! I'm Diane. I am a 43 year old Ohioan who has become addicted to 5ks. I actually walked a half marathon about 4 years ago. (lost a toenail to it due to having shoes that were not properly fitted). That kind of stopped me from continuing. But the friend I walked it with kept going and became a great inspiration…
  • I have a friend who uses the Jeff Galloway program. I've lost count of the number of half marathons she has run now.
  • Hmmm... no one else running any upcoming 5ks? I've now got the Donut Dash finished.. next up is July 12th.. The Wounded Warrior 5k.. all proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project! What a great organization and one that I am proud and honored to lend my legs to!
  • Thank you Carson...
  • Results from my Donut Dash 5k on Saturday: 44:33..though I am 'deducting' at least 2 minutes off that time cause we stopped so my friend could eat a donut at mile 2. Out of 76 females running I was 35th place.. and 5th place in my age group (there was just 9 females in my age group though :embarassed: )

  • Howdy all. Well, doctor was not much help. Said it was "dermatitis of an unknown origin".. He prescribed a steroid cream and a pill to help the itching. The pill does help.. it knocks me out... so can't take it during day.. though I did just take a half dose cause I'm going crazy. The cream is not helping...legs are…
  • BLECH! Been up since 3am.. legs are BURNING and ITCHING! The rash is getting worse and spreading over the legs. • Morning all! Well, It was a bad weekend for me. Didn't feel well... and I don't know what it is but my legs around my knees are red, bumpy and very itchy. It's not poison ivy because I've been nowhere near any. But it's driving me batty! I've tried Cortizone, and Benadryl and nothing helps. Feeling blah today(mood wise,…

I mean, my legs do start hurting when I hit around the 60 mark.. and by 100 they are crying... I really wanna get up to 150 by month end. And yep.. I do them while blow drying my hair.. I'm standing up while blow drying…

  • Treadmill because it's more calories burned when I use it.. BUT.. the elliptical is not as hard on the knees/legs....
  • Morning all! I really would like just one day/evening with no 'excitement'.... I have not been able to really do any exercise in several weeks now except some hula hooping here and there.. and my squats in the morning as I'm blow drying my hair. I'm up to 125 each day. Next week I will push myself to 150 each morning. Even…

  • What a great idea! I'll have to bring some of my good recipes with me to work so I can post them to the thread!
  • Welp.. The Cheddar Challenge is behind me... next up is the Donut Dash 5k on the 28th... not sure how to 'count' this.. as they deduct 2 minutes off time for every donut you eat.. so I could just run it without stopping for a donut... but what fun would that be?
