  • I have a ridiculous love for cheeseburgers.
  • Contributing to antibiotic resistance
  • Quaker has a protein oatmeal that I eat in situations like this. It's 240 calories.
  • I still think about food constantly. I will think about my next meal as I'm eating. I don't know if that's ever going to stop for me. I've been here closing in on two years. When I first started, I could have written your post. I loooooved (well still do) fast food. My favorite food of all time? A cheeseburger. I found I…
  • Wow!! Great job. That's my motivation to hit the gym today.
  • I like what you had to say about gratitude! For the past few months, gratitude has been my mantra. I find it completely changes my outlook.
  • My first reaction was that I didn't cut out anything, but as I thought about it more, realized I sorta have. I've cut out rolls and pasta, for the most part. They'll sometimes find their way back in. I'll sometimes eat rice. So basically I've limited carby stuff, but I still eat potatoes with no problem. I just don't find…
  • I've noticed it with getting the door held open for me. When I was at my gym towards the beginning of my weight loss, guys would hold the door open for a loooong time for a fit girl and then close it when I was only a few steps behind. This happened not once, not twice, but three times to me. Now at work, men go out of…
  • I have the same exact problem! I have resorted to skinny style pants because that's all that I have found that doesn't give me the dirty diaper look. Hopefully someone else has a solution.
  • On the topic of zucchini noodles, I usually saute them with garlic and onion. Sometimes I add browned mushrooms and spinach. I now much prefer that to pasta, and I never thought that would happen.
  • Thanks for the replies. I don't own one already. Looks like freezing is the way to go!
  • Maybe because you raised your kids in a different food environment? Growing up, I was surrounded by cookies and candy and soda. Also huge eaters so I feel like I naturally fell into that. As an adult, I've been around different families where they don't have that stuff around and don't eat as much as my family did. I…
  • I saw a while back on these boards how someone wrote something along the lines of nothing tastes better than the first bite. For some reason that quote resonated with me and became ingrained when I reach for food. It's true and stops me from mindlessly eating. I'll have maybe a bite or two instead of a huge amount.
  • I don't have the HRM and use mine to count calories. I find it works well.
  • I've never officially been diagnosed with PCOS, but I had all of the symptoms. I have never had a regular period and now that I've lost a good amount of weight, my period is regular. Plus I developed cystic acne which I suspect had to do with PCOS and that has disappeared. As far as stretch marks, yeah... weight loss has…
  • Thanks for all of the insight! I especially liked the tip to rest enough that I can perform as well on every set. I haven't been working my legs consistently. I know I need to, but knowing and doing are two different things... I'm also intrigued by the active rest suggestion. This may be a dumb question, but would active…
  • I tell myself a quote quite frequently that I saw on the forum months and months back. It was something like nothing tastes as good as the first bite. I have found it to be so true! That has helped me to not need a huge portion of things. Now instead of shoveling through a first plate quickly and without thinking so that I…
  • I'm 5'2.5". I weigh about 160 and wear a size 14 and medium top. Most of my fat is in my stomach.
  • The same exact thing is happening to me! I started at 220 and now I'm at about 163. I feel like I'm looking at another year of weight loss. :( Some days I'm perfectly fine with that and other days I feel frustrated.
  • I previously called myself a soda addict. I had to have a few diet cokes everyday, and then I discovered La Croix. I like them since they don't have sugar or artificial sweetener. Now I drink those and only about one a day, and I don't feel the need to have a soda. I guess I was just a fan of the bubbles in soda.
  • San Antonio!!
  • I don't post on here much, but I'm on mfp everyday. I'm always happy to add someone
  • I don't know if this is what you mean by clean, because it's not organic, but I like dinners to be a meat and veggies. Usually the meat is what I call "poor people" meat. Something like chicken drumsticks, leg quarters, or pork. Delicious, easy, and budget friendly.
  • I would initially say don't get it because I have one and hate it. But after reading the comments, maybe I just need to get a better one. Mine is very noisy plus most of the day I'm typing so that's difficult to do at the same time.
  • I eat out quite a bit. I'll stick to a small steak or grilled chicken with veggies as my sides. If I eat mexican food, I will get fajitas with corn tortillas, a fajita salad and use salsa as dressing, or tortilla soup. At burger places I'll get a burger and either eat half or not eat the bun. With chinese, I stay away from…
  • I like to roast most of my veggies. I had roasted asparagus last night. Olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Delicious!! Works well with brussel sprouts too.
  • San Antonio!!
  • I'm a chronic yo yo dieter. I'm good at having will power and losing lots of weight until I feel good at where I'm at. 80 pound chunks. Then I think it's okay to not work out and eat bad things. I've done that three times, and other times losing about 30 pounds. Once I start gaining, I do it quickly. I think this time will…
  • I have about that much to lose! I started in May at about 223. Then stopped for a while over summer. Restarted at 216 and am now at 206. My goal is to be in the 120s. I'm 5'3". I don't have any friends yet...but would like some, especially those with similar goals.
  • I love this! I've been on a low carb diet for a few weeks now. Trying to add that exercise in. Thanksgiving is going to be a tough, tough week. I'm 5'3". SW: 206 GW:186
