Question - I typically leave at 6 a.m. and get home around 5:30 p.m. - anyone aware of recipes that can cook that long on low (other than pot roast which turns out terrific)?

Couldn't agree more - turn it all off. You only hear part of any story that is "chosen" for you to hear. Very hard to tell what is real and what is hype.

This is one of the best training programs out there for getting you ready to run a maraton. Some of the local running clubs in Orlando follow this and I followed it when I ran my first marathon over 15 years ago (I've only done two). I'm the opposite - I can't eat before I run cause I feel like crap and get side stiches and I don't get hungry until about 2 hours afterwards.

So chiming in - I started MFP with certain goals and it assigned me 1200 calories a day. Most days I met that but I thought it was good to be under when I exercised so I left myself under goal. Yep, same as others - usually gain 4-5 pounds of "bloat." Have had cramps my entire life unless I really exercise a lot - then they aren't so bad - but no kids so likely different experiences.

1200 is where I am as well - I agree, tuna with just relish for me every day at lunch. Lots of fruit, celery, grilled veggies (squash, zucchini, carrots, brussel sprouts and asparagus) every week prove to be filling. Wow - mfp put me at 1200 calories and most days I'm right there or way under when I exercise. Wondering now why I'm so low - seeing everyone's goals. I'm tracking to lose 20-ish pounds.
