Fruit salad? Are you on Pinterest? There was a recipe for a homemade chocolate frozen yogurt made from greek yogurt. There's also a low fat, low cal version of the Wendy's milkshake made from almond milk, etc. You can always spike it with some Fra Angelica (hazelnut liquor) Or make "Puppy chow" or "White Trash" with Chex…

Woohoo! That's a great feeling NSV!

May I join?

Yay! Great job!

I've heard about the tapeworm pill and also one that's basically the same as taking castor oil. Either way, you're getting totally ripped off paying $80 for something potentially harmful to your system, natural or not. A friend of mine was one it for awhile, and also lost weight, but got sick of having to be very conscious…

Congrats! You look fantastic! Kids are cute too!

And I bet she could kick his fat azz too, if she were to deign to stoop to his level...which she wouldn't, because she's so classy. She's the shizz!

Wait til you run your second one! You'll love it!

I'm 43 and I don't think I've started menopause yet, but I've dealt with endometriosis until I had a supracervical hysterectomy last year. I'm also 5' 4" and my highest weight was 183 lbs. I tried all sorts of kinds of exercise before my surgery, signed up on MFP in April, started jogging again in July and still with no…

Sounds fishy to me. Unless you need to lose weight fast for medical reasons, I would question this approach. Maybe you should get a second opinion?

I think you can do it. I'm up to 4.5 m in around 57 minutes, and that's with some intervals (30 sec) of walking, so my average pace is around a 12 minute mile. If you can maintain that, you'll meet your goal. Just aim to finish and don't worry about the timing!

Yay! These are the most important NSV's! Congrats!

Could it be exercise induced asthsma? You could ask them to prescribe a mild inhaler, and see if that helps.

I know what you mean! My dog is almost 3, and very fit. She'll act tired on walks and then thrash around the house playing as if nothing happened. Luckily, larger dogs sleep a LOT. I take her to daycare periodically and let the other dogs wear her out!

Like Sarah said, your appetite will decrease but you can "spend" more calories eating what you enjoy. As for the exercise, try to find something you enjoy that you can stick with and the exercise itself might provide the motivation. I've discovered I HATE going to the gym but I love running. I don't know how old you are…

Personally, I've always failed when it's come to having exercise equipment at home. I've bought exercise bikes, DVD's, balance balls and trampolines and they've all become fancy clothes hangers or just clutter. So I've decided that exercise for me means getting out of the house and doing something. But there are lots of…

Love it! Fage is my favorite, and I often use the plain as a substitute for sour cream.

I pop 3 handfulls of popcorn in a paper-sandwich bag for 2 minutes. Then I spray it with butter flavored Pam, salt and sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese (maybe 1/4 cup).

It's funny I should see this thread because I was just thinking about this the other day. I used to get really pissy or feel down during/after working out/going to the gym or any kind of exercise. I thought it was just bringing out testosterone or something. But then, I've always had mild, chronic depression. Most people…

You can do it!

I know what you mean. I totally quit buying artificial sugars and "low fat" foods that contain maltodextrin, etc. because I decided the chemicals used to make things have less sugar or less fat were worst than things naturally sugary or fatty. I use olive oil whenever oil is needed and use butter sparingly. I was…

You can do it! The first time I ran the 20 minutes, I wasn't on my usual route and it floored me. I quit for a few months but restarted the program in July. I'm on week 6 now and I can honestly say I'm enjoying it! I think it helped that I made my walks with my dog longer and faster paced on the days between runs. There's…

Are you eating enough? Resting enough? Maybe you're unconsciously pushing yourself and actually you're not going slower at all? Repeating week 6 might not be a bad idea though. I just started it this week for the first time myself. I made to week 5 back in February and then got sidetracked. It's easier the 2nd time around,…

I'm doing my very first 5k on October 1! Just started week 6 of the C25K program.

I did it for a while. I started with a cheap Walmart trampoline, which wasn't much better than jumping up and down on the floor. Then I found a Needak trampoline on eBay, which is much springier. I was trying to follow a Cardiolates DVD made by the Pilates on Fifth owners (red headed twins that used to be Rockettes, I…

What Icnelson said. I started jogging in January and I was 42 and weighed 177 lbs. I stopped in February and restarted in July. My knees are fine! I find it really helps my weight-loss too. And I like to bike, but if I use the stationary bikes in the gym, I get charley-horses all the time (and it doesn't happen on my road…

Good for you for figuring out how to stop!

I got a pair Yak Trax to put on my sneakers. They're made of stretchy rubber with metal coils on the bottom that act like spikes. They're great on icy surfaces. They fit over both my sneakers and my boots, so they worked for jogging and walking the dog. Just be careful on your way out the door...they're super slippery on…
