Late Night Snacks?

I have two very young kids and I work from home, which means my typical work "day" doesn't start until after everybody else has gone to bed. There are times when I need a little pick-me-up late at night to help me stay focused, but I hate that the easiest things to grab for snacking usually undo all the good I've done all day.

What are some of your favorite ready-to-eat snacks that won't send me tumbling over my daily calorie goal or feeling super-guilty when bedtime (eventually) rolls around? They've got to be quick (little or no prep) and easy to eat with one hand (I'm a graphic designer).

Thanks!

    Popcorn!
  • Six ounces of Greek yogurt with one or two tablespoons of dark chocolate chips stirred in.
  • Kashi Bars...they taste good and are filling :-)

I second popcorn!! Best healthiest way is pop your kernels in a paper bag (top folded over) until the popping slows. Delicious, and not like microwave popcorn garbage.

Also, celery sticks are nice and crunchy!!
  • I pop 3 handfulls of popcorn in a paper-sandwich bag for 2 minutes. Then I spray it with butter flavored Pam, salt and sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese (maybe 1/4 cup).

Protein for me. I like Sargentos cheese sticks or Greek yogurt.
