I am having a difficult time with week 6 of the C25K - I'm doing it but feel so sluggish this week. It has been noticeably harder than weeks past and for the first time, I'm really not enjoying myself. Anyone go through this section of the program and have the same feeling? Any suggestions?

Just gotta keep on keepin' on . . .

ive just started week four so i can only offer this advice:

finish out week six and if you still feel sluggish dont move onto week seven - do week six again and i bet by the end of the second round you'll feel able to move on.

thats my plan for myself anyways

Yes, it gets definitely harder... I'm in the middle of week 5, and for the first time since I started this program, I don't feel like going out for a run. I know that I will feel good afterwards if I push myself to go, but it's really hard this morning.

Have you considered repeating some parts of the program? I did that with week 4 after a month hiatus due to an injury...
  • Are you eating enough? Resting enough? Maybe you're unconsciously pushing yourself and actually you're not going slower at all?

Repeating week 6 might not be a bad idea though. I just started it this week for the first time myself. I made to week 5 back in February and then got sidetracked. It's easier the 2nd time around, for sure.

there were some weeks that i was totally not into it. there are still some weeks now that i just dont feel like doing anything, TOM coming, not enough sleep any number of factors can be involved. Stick with it revisit your reasons for starting this road lay out the alternatives you need to get renewed vigor for you journey... good luck :)

My best advice is don't give up! Keep at it, and eventually it will get easier. I completed the C25K last spring, and now I am running 3-4 miles at a time.

The hardest week for me was week 4, I had to repeat that week twice.

You guys aren't boosting my confidence! Week 2 (TWO) was hard for me! I am forcing myself into week 3 and am able to do it, but it is not fun at all! I was hoping it would get easier, not harder as I can start handling the cardio for longer times! Ugh!!!

Anyways, I re-ran week 2 a couple of extra times, and that did help me be able to get through it easier! I'm thinking this 9 week program may be more like an 18 week program for me! Geez! Who knew I was so out of shape!

Good luck to you though - week 6!! You are 2/3 of the way there! I salute you! Keep going so we can all celebrate your victory together!

I found week 3 easier than week 2 because there were less runs. Once I made it through the first 90 second and 3 minute run, there was only one of each left!

I think I am going to have to repeat week 3 though. I missed one of my runs due to a combination of working extra hours for our end of the month closing, the holiday weekend (gym closed), and the substantial amount of rain and flooding for the last few days. Especially since everyone is saying week 4 is the hardest, I don't know if I want to head into it a day short on my training.

I haven't completed the program (I am a little behind you), but... I am thinking push through it and do it for two weeks if necessary?

You can do this!!! I have faith in you! :)
