  • Eventually, you'll get used to and your body will give you cues but as someone who drinks nearly 1.5 gallons daily I've never been worried about drinking too much. It's nearly 100 degrees where I live, so between being outdoors often and spending 1.5 hours in the gym 5x a week, I drink my large consumption of water is…
  • I would be able to. I don't want to, because I feel I am addicted to it. I have juiced in the mornings before though and I'm sure would feel equally energized if I did that. I recently cut down to a 1/2 pot a day from drinking an entire pot. Caffeine is just as addicting as anything else.
  • I LOVED my bodymedia when I had it (hated paying for the subscription though), and was my thinnest since I was always motivated to move more when I seen my stats. Just stay active like you do, and keep at it!
  • I've lost close to 110. I lost a majority of it about 5 years ago. Feel free to add me. I'm in the tough part - maintenance. It's a lifetime thing so always looking for support/lend support. Luckily, I love fitness to help my love of food. :)
  • In all fairness having been through childbirth 3x....seeing what my nagging self did. They go through a lot (mentally, not biologically). They struggle, too. Have a little sympathy for the dudes! In all seriousness though, get yourself a meal management bag. I got one from Isolator Fitness (really want a 6 pack bag but…
  • You got some good advice, but I'll tell you personally it helps in the short term but not so much the long term. Find something you love to do that isn't going to injure you in the long term. I used to run, but because I did it too much I injured myself past the point of healing so I lift heavy and hike these days. As for…
  • Will add you. I had the same thing happen (I've been logging about 311 days though). Keep my list around 50, but recently did a chop down to 25 since people are either months inactive or just don't give the support/motivation I give them.
  • Same. Lost a large amount (109lbs.) and have battled with the last 20lbs. off and on for the past 3 years. Difficult but I think weight training is finally giving me a permanent solution to my long term problem.
  • It's a process. Like you, about 4 years ago I was the thinnest I've EVER been. Great hair, great body, beautiful face but I was dying on the inside - gorgeous on the outside, but I had to fix the inside before life got better. Self help, therapy, and a support group will help you. The biggest thing? Time. Be patient and…
  • As much as I love the product, who can really afford (my husband and I used to use 1 serving a day so that's easily near $300 a month) it?! I found this "superfood" packet at Whole Foods, and put it in our green smooothies when we drink them. Satisfies my need for it, and it costs about $70 a month for both of us ($35 a…
  • I usually drink it black but I get into spurts where I add cream to it. Even if you do "drink it all day" (my husband and I can polish off a whole pot by 9am), add just cream. I could never stand drinking sweeten coffee. IMO, it's just one of those beverages that should be enjoyed bitter. ;) It took me a few years to cut…
  • As someone who lost 110lbs. between 2009-2010, I can tell you the loss part is the EASY part. I put 25lbs. on between early 2011, and mid 2011. Took it off, and here I am again. Only this time 5 more lbs. came back with the 25 I gained again. It's a lifetime thing wether you're losing 10, 20, or 100lbs. Somedays you don't…
  • I'm a firm believer that a person need to be aware of their surroundings. I live in the ghetto (no, I'm not kidding or trying to make jokes - statistically speaking there is a lot of gang related activity where I live) and I've never felt "unsafe" walking the streets where I live. I always carry mace, a knife, and my fully…
  • I'm in your shoes, too. Once I began running the weight loss slowed down. I think it's more of an "i'm actually eating too much than I'm actually burning. Plus all that expenditure makes you super hungry. Plateaus come and go...but do you cross train? I've found when I keep my deficit, and cross train it makes a huge…
  • As someone who is carb sensitive, I wouldn't recommend it. I did the vegan thing years ago and though I was at my smallest, I always was deficient in iron and my protein level was scary low. Not something I'd recommend. Are you active enough to where you can expend all those excess carbs (I know people will debate the carb…
  • Just remember...motivation gets your started, consistently keeps you going. Even on my bad days, I remember why I started. Motivation left me years ago.
  • When I started my journey over 6 years ago I was dropping weight crazy fast. Eventually lower calories + high calorie burns = one hungry me. You'll find the balance over time and figure out what you need over time. It's why I love the IIFYM (if if fits your macros). I almost never over eat as long as I'm hitting my macros.
  • I don't do the "sweet" coffee unless it's cold (frappucinos, and we get them at a coffee stand/house). I also used to get the flavored poison for my coffee but I gave that up a few years ago. I just simply do black with cream, or black with coconut oil and butter (bulletproof). I have never really enjoyed "sweet" coffee.
  • The only time I've been able to go really low is when I did the 21dayfix meal plan and honestly, I like it...but couldn't sustain it long term because I work out a lot and it's very difficult. I was actually worried about not getting enough sodium because there were days I was only getting 800-900 a day. As mentioned just…
  • Don't live there, but husband and I love the Gold Beach/Brookings area. We're hoping to relocate there one day once I'm done with college. :D
  • Eat it less? I try to limit my grains because I know how they effect me. Feel best when I'm eating the whole 30 way. Maybe try 3x a week if you want to cut down more, cut down? If not, just fit into your macros.
  • Yep @rockyyy1991 looks super fun and a blast to be around. I'm sure we'd manage!
  • I learned how to lift using Body Beast, but I burned out quick. The good is I learned A LOT of strength exercises, so I can easily mix it up often. As mentioned, Stronglifts is great (wish I had started out on that one to introduce me to it), and I've heard nothing but great things about New Rules of Lifting.
  • Not ALWAYS TRUE!! In 2009, the most I lost in one month was 17lbs. (usually stayed around 8-10lbs. lost in a month. I went from 250 to 138 in about 13 months, and have ONLY had trouble with about 20lbs. of those coming and going. Not everyone does. You can't make that assumption.
  • I think you got lots of good suggestions. I love Old Navy, and Target the most (most cost effective other than Walmart). Though if you want name brand stuff...check out TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls...and those kind of stores. Another suggestion, I live in Portland (Oregon) and I've found the Goodwills always have SUPER cheap…
  • Almonds and water as far as I know. I've made my own and it tastes really similar.
  • A lot of people don't like it, but try 1/4 cup of blue diamond almond milk (30 calorie one), it's about 8 calories for the 1/4 cup, plus the 2 calories for the cup of coffee. So I have a few 10 calorie cups a day. Keeps me from filling up. I love half and half, but when I know I have a big eating day, I stick with the…
  • Have a cheat meal, not a cheat day. If I made it a day...I could easily eat 7K calories in a "cheat day". Chose a meal, don't worry about it, and negate it later. :)
  • Laying in bed in my "jammies". FocusT25 "Nailed It" T-shirt - FREE (since I completed the program Grey cottony shorts - $5 Bra from Target - $10 Panties from Costco - $5 $20
  • I went from a 42DDD, to a 36D. Not too bad, but honestly? I kept my "shape" but lost the volume. I'm hoping to get some kind of implants one day to fill in the sag. I know they were fat boobs, but I miss 'em.
