  • yep! going grocery shopping this weekend! been cutting waaay back on carbs this week and once I can shop, I'm on board! :) May not do only 20 net carbs, but definitely shooting for under 45. I know I still hit ketosis at that mark. oh my 2 cents - it's sad that we have to post a disclaimer on a web site that is supposed to…
  • Welcome!! you can do it!! this is a great web site for motivation, support, sobbing, and every thing that goes along with a weight loss journey! I highly recommend reading the success boards as they definitely keep me motivated!!
  • I have 4 small tats, 1 big one and 1 medium... they are all cool and I am often complimented on them... done right they are very attractive and beautiful.. but I have seen people get them just to get them and it's aweful. men with tats are even hotter!
  • AMEN!!! for my height, 5'4 I should weigh around 125-135 but I don't look good at all. I'm Lebanese and naturally have a butt and boobs and round belly... I like they way I looked at 150-155 and that's my goal.
  • if you exercise that day, it adds those calories back in to what you are able to eat... is that what you are noticing? and 1450 cals a day is still low enough really.
  • Welcome and like many of us here, I feel your pain! I gained 55lbs with each of my 2 boys... they are 7 and 9 and I'm still struggling with my "baby fat" - but this time will be different!! Feel free to add me as well!! We moms need all the support we can get!
  • ME!! 12 down and 40 something to go! really should be 50 something, but hey, I'll see when I get to my goal weight! :p
  • here's an excerpt from the article I found: bananas have 594 milligrams per one cup (297 per half cup), lima beans with 955 milligrams per cup (477.5 per half cup) and pinto beans with 800 milligrams per cup. In the fruit department five dates or two dried figs have 271 milligrams, cantaloupe has 494 milligrams per one…
  • Amen sister! My hubby isn't fit and thin, but he can lose 10 lbs by just thinking about it. He looks good, probably could stand to lose 20 lbs - whereas I need to lose another 50. But he does the same thing... I dont want ice cream, but he buys it twice a week, eats it in front of me... "want some ice cream?? I got your…
  • that's awesome!! LOL
  • Glad you posted! Lurk no more :) congrats on your weight loss!! keep up the awesome work and feel free to add me
  • congrats on your loss Zoo! I think many of us here LOVE to eat and that's why we are here. the hardest thing to do is say bye to our best friend, food! Every small step is one step closer to where you want to be! Don't let food win, let the thin you inside trying to get out win for a change! You can do this!! best wishes…

  • I dont like telling anyone what I weigh either! I'll tell how much I've lost, but not what I weigh! My goal is also 155 and having been 235 as my all-time high weight - when my doctor asked me "are you sure you don't want to try for, say, 140?" my response was "well, let me get near 155 and we'll talk about 15 more…
  • You are not alone! In fact, I think everyone here has done that! I too, lost 55 pounds, then gained 30 back, took 25 off again, put 30 back on.... hence why my profile quote is "stop the roller coaster!" logging in here and having a support system is the one thing I didn't have before and I hope that this time, with…
  • Welcome Anu!
  • AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!! you have got to be so proud of yourself! you're looking great!!!
  • I have been doing some research on the "zig zag method" for weight loss... it's supposed to keep your body guessing so it won't adjust to your eating habits. if you google it, a lot of interesting web sites come up, might be worth a try?
  • I really like this brand I found at Hi-Health, it's called "On" Classic Whey protein. it's 120 cal, 4g net carbs and +/- 15g of protein. I mix it with water and it tastes as close as you can get to chocolate milk and be a diet/protein drink
  • Welcome back! I hate the word diet, but it seems we just can't escape it! But think of it as a life style change!! here's to your success this time around!! *cheers*
  • welcome back and good luck!!

  • Thanks gang :) I just have to be more aware to approach it or react better next time... he's such a health freak at 9 already. It's amazing how observant he is. He is constantly asking "is this healthy to eat?" of course that doesn't stop him from eating candy or ice cream LOL - but at least he's asking and is interested…

  • Depending on your age, the only people that really have to worry about loose skin are those that take drastic measures like gastric bypass or similar surgical methods. Lotion with Q10 is supposed to help with firming skin as well. If you do a gradual weight loss and exercise regularly, you shouldn't notice any loose skin.…
