Three days after our 6th wedding anniversary my husband informed me he wantes to separate. Seems he prefers it when I'm not around.

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone. Wish I could say my "angry" will go away soon (it won't  ) but I know a run will probably help, if only for a little while.

Well, I am a little nervous but am going to try this. I only have 6 pounds to go until I reach my original goal set 12 months ago. I had my settings at 1500 calories and was eating back all my exercise calories. I calculated my RMR to be 1450 and my TDEE to be 2260 with my cut at 1900. So...reset everything and will try…

6. Your first step is finding out your TDEE (total daily energy expedenture) as accurate as you can. There are many ways to do this. If you have the money, you can buy a Bodymedia FIT or a Bodybugg and while it's not 100% (nothing is), it's pretty close. [/quote] I just bought a Polar FT4. If I wear that around for a…

Call it what you like...I sometimes think the term "clean eating" is very over-used. I think it's a great idea to try different strategies to achieve your health and fitness goals. For me, I've noticed I have a lot more energy when I stay away from sugary foods and carbs like pasta and bread/muffins etc. I feel great when…

Listen to what your body is telling you. It's a good idea to schedule "rest days" to give your muscles time to recover. This is especially true if you are doing a lot of strength training/heavy lifting.

I had a very small number of friends on here (less than 10). I deleted most of them one day when I came to the realization I was the only one in the mix providing support and encouragement. I want to have MFP friends who will acknowledge, encourage, support and comment on my achievements (because that's what friends do) so…

I work EMS and have a 7 day on/7 day off rotation. I have to stay at the base for the entire 7 days as we run 24-hour shifts (i am basically on-call for 168 hours). I pre-cook a lot of food for the week such as chicken and quinoa and I usually prep a lot of veggies and fruit at home before my shift. I try and keep as…

That was one of THE most articulate and well-spoken post I have ever read on MFP. :flowerforyou:

Try using coconut oil instead. It's quite expensive but a tub lasts a long time!

Starting on Thursday! I am excited to try it as I need a change to my regular routine. Planning on supplemeting a few sessions with extra cardio. Will post some stats later.

"Boy Scouts of America leaders knew for years about incidents involving a Canadian pedophile who preyed on boys in the U.S. but failed to stop him as he moved back to Canada, where he continued his abuse. The organization sometimes even helped him go undetected by authorities, an investigation by CBC-TV's The Fifth Estate…

Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should. In my experience, people say things under the guise of honesty, when in reality their intentions are just plain hurtful or malicious. Many people cannot grasp the intended tone or inflection of the written word, which makes public forums like this a free-for-all…

I prefer protein at breakfast as it seems to keep me feeling fuller longer. Scramble an egg and a few egg whites and have with a piece of toast. Greek yogurt with some fruit mixed in is a good choice as well.

What's the signifigance of eating my exercise calories?

Muscle does not weigh more than fat...it just takes up less space!

I feel your pain. I work out 6 days a week (3 weight days and 3 HIIT days) and the scale WILL NOT MOVE! I have tried more calories, less calories, more protein/less carbs, less protein/more carbs...you get the picture. I don't know what to do and am getting REALLY frustrated. I make an effort to eat clean as well, although…
