  • When I broke my leg, the doctor suggested a hand bike. My gym didn't have one so it wasn't an option, but maybe yours does.
  • Yes we are all here because it is our version of World of Warcraft or Second Life. Living healthy is just a made up game that we are pretending to play.
  • Don't let yourself get hungry. You should be putting something in your stomach every couple of hours. Whole foods are low in calories will make you feel full so fill up on the meats and veggies and don't forget your water.
  • "Squidge". Nice technical term. Haha. Sounds deliciious. Just because of the frying though, I will have to try it on an extreme workout day. Thanks.
  • You are never too far gone. Baby steps. It took years to get where you are and it will take a while to get to where you want to be. Keep your eye on the prize. Focus on the goal and not hard it will be to get there. The only thing that can stop you is you, and you wouldn't do that to yourself would you? Keep it up.
  • Congrats on exercising such will power. Don't forget to treat yourself every once in a while though.
  • Some digital scales can give you different weights one immediately after the other. I usually check 3x just to make sure it gives me a consistent number.
  • I second making your diary public. Make sure you are eating every few hours and you should be drinking a lot of water. Pay the scale no mind. You should really only check it once a week at the most and always when you wake up. Just keep doing what your doing and you will see the difference in the mirror and in the fit of…
  • Just because of the high sodium content, you would be better off with an apple or a banana. Just as easy on the go.
  • I wrote out a long frustrated rant, but then decided it was unnecessary to berate anybody for their illogical opinions. I do however have a couple simple points. -cavemen had a life expectancy of 30 yrs. -The Inuit people are from a sub-zero climate and required a higher fat content in their diets -to maintain 80% fat…
  • The way nature intended it? I don't know you, but I can't think about a single natural food source with that high of a fat content. Sounds like crap to me.
  • It never happened. Forget about it. It's a waste of focus. Keep your eye on the prize and remember what you are here for. I too am training for a 5k obstacle course next month. My goal is to do the 10mi Toughmudder next year and that is where I keep my focus.
  • They are low in calories. If it's all you are having for a snack, you should have 3-4 cups at least and don't forget the water. 20oz minimum of water with the veggies will help fill you up.
  • Tell her to fill stuff out. It's hard to support somebody if they don't participate in the community.
  • That is a much better idea. Stick to the higher end of that too if you are going full bore on the workouts. Check out my buddy, user wan2b21. He is a P90X grad and my motivation. I started about 5 weeks ago but got injured (not related to the program) 2 weeks in and have only been running since. Starting again today.
