You do you. I wouldn’t follow those recommendations either. I do what works for me.

So, everyone eats back their exercise calories? I personally don’t believe I burn anywhere near what it says I do.

I am 52 and I am 5'3. I am currently at 132. My goal weight is 120-125. At my heaviest I was 185. I have been between 130-135 for a year. I was down to 125 a couple of years ago. The worst part is I have tons of cellulite in my legs. If I could just cut out sugar, I think I would drop these last 10 lbs. It's hard. I run…

People meal prep for an entire week. Do you think they throw the stuff out after 2 or 3 days? No, they eat it.

I use 40 grams of oats, 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk (30 calories) microwave for 2 minutes. Then add 18 grams of PB2, tsp cocoa powder, 2 packets of Splenda and 1/2 cup riced cauliflower. I know it sounds weird but the cauliflower blends nicely and bulks up my oatmeal.

You can do this. Move more. Eat less. I’m 52 and when I was younger my weight ballooned to 185. I decided to change that a few years ago. I have kept 50 lbs off for 3 years. I was down to 125 last year then slowly started to eat more. I have decided to tighten my diet again. I feel so much better when I eat right and…

Filtered tap through my refrigerator and Walgreens bottled water when I am working.

Hard boiled eggs and string cheese.

Twizzlers and Fruit Gushers.

I had the same problem. I didn't run for 6 weeks hoping it would heal. It didn't. I finally went to a podiatrist and she prescribed some steroids and stretching. I feel great now.

I take 2 potassium pills everyday and now I only get leg cramps once in a blue moon. It was daily. I just didn't get enough in the foods I ate. The pills are cheap and do the job.

I have the Camelbak Hydration which is small like the picture above. I run after work at it's sometimes in the 90's. I'm old and slow so I decided to try it. Love it. I don't even really notice it.

I was sloppy at maintaining and I've gained 10lbs. It seems like it's 10 lbs of cellulite. I have to get back to where I was. Cookies on the counter didn't bother me because I was on a mission. Now, I might eat 2 or 3 servings worth. I am hoping reading these posts will get my head where it needs to be.

I love the pouches of tuna. Sweet and spicey is my favorite. I try to limit myself to 3 times a week because of mercury.

Hard boiled egg whites. They are filling and only have 17 calories each. Aldi's light string cheese is 50 calories a serving. 80 calorie greek yogurt. I use Waldon Farms caramel sauce on chocolate vitatops. Bags of frozen veggies. Love edamame. 35 calorie diet bread isn't bad. 100 calorie kettle corn popcorn. Tuna in water…

I started with the Runners world beginning program on a treadmill in my basement. I was 48 when I started. Now I run about 25 miles a week outside and I lost 40 lbs. Good shoes are important. I love Asics Gel Nimbus. You'll figure out what works. You just got to do it. Good luck!

You look good! Congrats!

Some days I am just a bottomless pit. I try to not go overboard. I find that if I eat tuna, hard boiled eggs or a protein drink, I feel fuller. My biggest problem is not having a plan. If I stand at the cupboard or refrig and look around for something, it's over. Those darn nutty bars call my name. Also, filling my plate…

I started with the Runner's World Beginning Running Program. I am 49 and not athletic at all. Now, I run 4 days a week 4-8 miles each time. I am slow but I don't care. I still do it.

I have a fitbit one and I think it under estimates. I run and use the Nike app and my calorie burn is always higher on it than on my fitbit. Also, if I log everything as precisely as I can, I lose more weight than what it predicts. I am always disappointed when I look at the exercise calories it gives me because I know I…

I started with the runner's world beginning running program on my treadmill. I knew I could not do it outside because I didn't want people watching me. When I finished that, I just kept adding to my time. When I got to 45 minutes, I finally ran outside. I went from 165 lbs to 125 lbs and running has changed my life. I will…

I am in the same boat. First half marathon on May 19. My long runs are at 10 miles but I am at a 12 min mile pace. I worry about being too slow but my goal is to finish and not be last. I started running last August. I am not athletic at all. Through this app and fitbit, I have lost 40 lbs. I maybe slow but I do it! After…

This happened to me. There was a sign up sheet and I took someone else's slot. I didn't know about the sheet. No signs.
-
Gee, just found out that I am not a "credible runner."

Can I ask some questions? How long was your longest run before the race? Was the recovery after running it, easy? If I don't eat enough carbs before my long runs, I am totally wiped out and have to take a nap. I am up to 9 miles. The plan I am following has my longest run as 13 but the week before I taper off.
-
Congrats! I am running my first one in May.

I tried to get enough potassium but It just wasn't happening. I was getting leg cramps daily so I started taking a potassium pill everyday. I was still getting cramps at night when I stretched. Then, I increased it to 2 pills a day. The cramps are gone!

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it!!!!!

Way to go!!!!
