  • 22 :) there's even a "20 somethings" thread around here somewhere...
  • I like this. ^^^ I'M @122 lbs and I'm inches shorter than you. I don't look sickly or anything and i'm very happy with where i am but I personally think I could even stand to gain some muscle (weight). So I'm not sure its appropriate for you. I was also aiming for a lighter goal yet coming upon 125 lbs I started to feel…
  • Yup. Except I don't drink soda... (Not restricting, just don't like it.)
  • Maybe I'm totally dim and i've missed something here... What ARE we supposed to eat? I don't get it.
  • This is my opinion... I've lived on my own successfully since 15 years old. I know what its like to pay bills, support a child, and be mooched off of by friends. My almost 30 year old brother still lives rent free at my parents. That being said... You did the right thing. You'll have to make a lot of decisions like this in…
  • I gotta agree with the OP here. The advice may have been valid but was given based mostly on assumption and lacked any form of class or sympathy and besides that... Ever heard its not what you say, its how you say it? Didn't know you had to ASK for responses to be "wrapped in a bow with rainbows". Guess it's human nature…
  • Teeeeechinally tortillas are a type of flat bread and if you've ever made them you know they are made from dough... Pizza dough is just slightly tweaked bread dough rolled out and comes in tons of varieties including thin. And i always order thin crust. So to me, tortilla ... thin crust. Same dang thing. Both good :) BTW…
  • They're the same thing! Your diet is what you eat; good or bad, 3000 cal or 500 cal, vegan or meat eater. You're diet is what you eat no matter what, the way to lose weight is to change your diet to include a deficit. But I get the question, so yes, I plan on changing my diet to a healthier one for life!
  • Nooo not all fifty were since just June! lol I lost about half that before MFP and stalled so I joined to help keep me going!! Its worked! :) Once I got a couple lbs within my goal I changed my ticker to read my total loss instead of just MFP loss...
  • Yes! Beau is 50% Bengal 50% American Shorthair (we met both the parents) he's got amazing markings! Maybe I'll figure pics out one day lol
  • Specifically the jaw...
  • "I tried swimming but it cost £22 a month and it meant I had to cut back on my favourite pizza and Chinese takeaways." Uhmmmm OK... You want more money... Heres my $.02- grow a garden and learn to cook without a microwave.
  • Uhm, I think my brothers an attractive guy, my whole family has good genes. Doesn't mean I wanna bang him. Same for my male friends. To say I'm blind to their physical appearance is bs. To say I want relationships/sex with them is even more bs. I also notice the attractiveness of other women, does this mean I want to have…
  • Reached my goal weight a couple weeks ago, YAAAAY, but still checkin in! SW- 176 lbs MFP SW- 151 Chal SW- 132.5 Week 1- 131 Week 2- 129.5 Week 3- 127 Week 4- 125 Week 5- 124.5 CW 125 maintaining is surprisingly easier for me than i thought! keep it up everyone! doing great!!
  • definitely. in fact my male friends are far more trust worthy and reliable than my female ones. and ive never felt any sexual pressure between any of them. most of them are really good friends (some even childhood friends) of my husband. thats not saying that i cant recognize the fact that theyre attractive or have other…
  • Oh man, I can relate! People used to tell me when I was prego "you're not fat, you're supposed to be getting bigger!". Really? Cuz I gained like 70lbs of NOT baby. Thanks guys.
  • Unfortunately yes :( that and my husbands father died when he was six. Left his mom with 5 kids and no immediate income. He became suicidally depressed. But it wasn't him who didn't want to talk. Any time he tried to talk about it his mom would tell him "You're not the only one who lost your dad. You have to be the man…
  • a satisfying walk for me compared to my dog are completely different! if i'm specifically walking to get Jax out then we hike the hills around a local creek, off leash, for 2-4 hours. he's like a freakin mountain goat RUNNING up and down cliffs, scaling decent waterfalls, zipping around using fallen trees and roots as…
  • I'm trying to see it your way. Really, excellent points. But be it shallow or naive; I still think it would deter me. I just want someone who looks as capable as they are. Horrible, I know. :( I have yet to read the boxing page... Maybe it will convince me.
  • To me, yes. Being experienced means doing it often. I'm not gunna assume an overweight person does cycling classes regularly, nor an incredibly frail person. I'm not going to learn my correct yoga form from someone who can't do it themselves. You wanted opinion. You got one. I'm gonna learn yoga from some I think could, ya…
  • Even just the title on this thread makes me laugh. Therefore, yeah, I'd avoid that class. When I think about why; I'd rather have somebody that I could see being EXPERIENCED in that type of exercise to TEACH me how to correctly do it. I feel like the term "overweight fitness instructor" is quite an oxymoron...
  • I tell everyone. Literally, everyone. I probably annoy people after telling them two or three times. BUT I went from 176 to my current 125 lbs. Maybe never being SO big is why I'm more open about it? That or because I'm where I want to be now. I didn't share my weight much when it was 176 or even 150. I'm much more…
  • No reason to be negative towards yourself here. Weight loss is not easy and everyone is bound to take a step back every once in awhile. Especially when things get stressful/overwhelming. See the thing about that wagon is when you fall off it stops, so you can get back on. :) Need a hand getting on again? Feel free to add…
  • yes! our Rottweiler/Heeler is allowed on any furniture as long as he hasn't rolled in anything. lol he has a thick coat though so in the summer he usually prefers to sleep off by himself...
  • Again, just want to push that I never said or even implied this. I just think its the healthier option, not the only. Reactions like this are how fights start in these threads. Calm down, reread it, I've actually tried to be very respectful of everyone's opinions. And just because I'm debating this side doesn't mean I'm…
  • Referring to the entire last paragraph; reread what I wrote. EXACT SAME PERSON meaning genetics, activity, stress management etc... I've in fact stated that they're equally active multiple times now. So to make this easier for you we'll say it is the same person, just two different lifestyles they could choose. BOTH DIETS…
  • all excellent points. i tried to make it pretty simple on purpose so everyone could understand it easily lol i did say they're all equally active but i certainly agree with stress management playing a big roll. For the sake of THIS specific debate; lets say instead of two groups its just two individuals who are basically…
  • Ok, hopefully i can respond to this without it turning into a big thing. Obviously you lost 31lbs, how much of that is pure body fat, who knows.... let me break it down for you this way; unfortunately most of us on here are or have been overweight. and we all know that different things work for different people. yes, you…
