I would post this in the 'fibit users' group. I'm sure they'll be able to help you there. I have a flex, but I've only been using it a month, so I don't feel qualified to answer. Good luck!

First of all, fantastic job on your weight loss and commitment to exercise. Would you consider doing some light exercise on your day off? Perhaps just a brisk walk would quell the feeling of anxiety, I know it does for me!

Athleta. I'm 5'11" and have the same issue. I do find that even though Gap running pants don't come in 'long' they are actually really long and may be long enough for you. I can't wear men's stuff, they fit weird everywhere but in the length. Oh, and also consider tall socks or legwarmers.

Sorry I just saw this! It's great! Don't get me wrong, sometimes by the end of the day I feel like chucking the thing out the window but by the next morning I'm raring to go again. I asked for a fitbit one for christmas, but husb bought me the flex without realizing there was a difference between them - yes, he also gave…

I would like to join as well!

I use this too and I love it.

Well, I had to read the whole thing because of the SpongeBob reference in the first para...I love spongebob. Truly an amazing story, thank you so much for putting yourself and your story out there for a bunch of strangers. Very very inspiring.

I'm not familiar with this app (looks like it's primarily iphone, and I'm android) but my first thought is to install it but use it 'unlinked' from MFP so that you can see the results of your movement, but not nec count it all as exercise. You could then manually add all of the exercise or a portion of it to MFP if you…

If you dress right you can still exercise outside. That said, I don't walk or run outside if it's below freezing....I just can't. But anything above that and I just bundle up. Try it, you might find that you like it.

I love this thread!!! Just for today I will do my weight workout when I get home and THEN collapse on the couch if I feel like it. :)

I totally agree that it's the way to go!! I can't believe how much better I feel. It's making so much more of a difference in my body and state of mind than my 45 min lunchtime runs EVER did.

I don't!

I use runkeeper for cardio (walking, running, cycling) and jefit for lifting weights.

I love this so much. Thank you.

Hi Rachmass, I'm on my 12th day and I'm still loving it...you're right about starting slow....I overdid it a few times and wiped myself out! Oddly enough it's the same feeling I got almost 20 years ago when I went from being a FT waitress to being a FT desk jockey. I remember my body hurting from sitting all day until I…

This has helped me so much I can't even tell you. It's satiating and curbs my cravings.

Try Target, I've gotten great workout stuff there.

This is right on. My 6 (almost 7) year old just told me he hates Christmas because there's no candy involved (while stuffing his face with his Halloween candy). LOL!!

Better to end it now then after Xyears and Xkids.....take it from me. :)

Don't let what other people think is right to derail you from what you KNOW is right. Not everyone has the discipline to do what you're doing!!

A change to minimalist shoes worked for me too. I use running flats, however.

Thank you so much for all the info!! This is exactly what I was looking for. Esp the stuff about the FitBit One vs. the Flex....like you, I've found that most of the time my hands are moving just to type where if I'm reading something on the screen they're resting on my desk. I just noticed that you've lost 90…

I also work a desk job and I pack basically the same things every day. Fage 0% (eaten with 1t pure maple syrup and 1t chia seeds) Breakstone's Cottage doubles with pineapple A large apple One 100 calorie pack of almonds I usually also have a frozen meal of some sort (Kashi, Lyfe kitchen) A large coffee in the AM and lots…

I'd just like to jump in and second this comment as it's a problem I have as well. The "all in - b@lls to the wall" approach is tempting, but very difficult to maintain.

This looks fantastic. Thank you!

You enter how many servings it makes and it divides up the calories likewise. So if the entire recipe has 1,000 cals, for instance, and you determine that you're going to eat 1/4 of the total recipe you enter that recipe serves 4 and then you know that what you ate is around 250 calories. It's never going to tell you how…

Hi! Can I please get a PM with the website as well? Thanks!

TL/DR = too long/didn't read. Some people want cliff's notes. :) Great article, thanks for posting. I DID read....LOL!

I say just set a good example and share with him favorite meals or snacks that you enjoy now. The information about calories in/calories out is very hard to hear. He's not going to hear it until he's ready.

Wear clothes that emphasize the features that you like the most right now. I'm wearing short skirts since I like how my legs look, but concealing my tummy, which is always the last to go.
