I have the same exact issue. I'll have a beer or two but i'm not really into the drink-yourself-stupid-and-wakeup-with-a-killer-hangover thing anymore. I usually get a lot of crap from my friends. I'm currently trying to get myself involved in other activities that have given me an "excuse" and also I am able to meet new…

Ok thanks everyone! I think I'm gonna go with the 8 oz victoria's filet, the fresh veggies, and the side salad. Unfortunately I'm the type of person that if its in front of me, I'm gonna eat it haha so that cutting in half thing doesnt work for me. Also I work almost exclusively with older, southern, men and I feel like…

Girl I tried the Whole30 and failed miserably - I couldnt keep up with all of the eating restrictions! Seems to me you're doing everything right and I agree it could be just where you're taking measurements and where you're personally concerned about your body. Maybe I'll have to try the Whole30 again. I think an 11 pound…

I'd say start trying to incorporate some strength training in there too, even if it is just adding dumbbells to some of the usual Jillian workouts you do, or if you already use them, challenge yourself to use a higher weight!

Thanks everyone for your responses :) I'll just keep going with it - I usually am a driver but some places are really expensive to park the car so we usually just cab. I'll keep everything you guys said in the back of my mind, and keep my eyes open & trying new activities in my new city to try and meet as many like-minded…

And like don't get me wrong - I will splurge when we go out - pizza, burger, etc, but I just dont feel like I can do that all the time, especially when my friends want to go out to eat 3-4 times a week !
-
Nah no one has said anything its always just like "i wish you were drinking more!" "I wish you were getting drunk with us!" "I want to see you go crazy one night!" and then going out to eat its like "oh you would order the salad!" But thats just not really me haha I'm always having fun on a little buzz

Yes, it is. I'm sure supplements work fine for many people in certain cases. But for the OP who is asking about water retention, In my experience you are better off with natural diuretics e.g. coffee, drinking liquids, and real food, as opposed to consuming a handful of pills.
-
Allow me to clarify - avoid REFINED carbohydrates. Our bodies more readily absorb nutrients from food itself as opposed to man-made nutrients which are highly concentrated. Supplements are expensive, and in actuality our bodies are not able to use them in the form they are in, and we end up merely peeing them out. The OP…

Bananas are one of the cheapest foods you can buy :)

1) Drink A LOT of water. More water than you think you need. Never be thirsty. Additionally, Don't chug it - sip it throughout the day. 2) Consume Potassium - no not in the form of supplements. Foods that are naturally high in potassium are avocadoes, bananas, and coconut water. I can't recommend coconut water enough. 3)…

I used to consider myself addicted to diet soda - we had it in my school dining area which was adjoined to where I would work on the computer. I'd get a cup at whichever meal I was there fore, and probably have at least 2 refills of the 20 oz. cup :X ! I got my first cavity ever that year, and the dentist asked if I had…
