I've now done this for slightly more than 1 week. No binges. I have night eaten, but not nearly as often nor as much. Taking L-Glut, 5-HTP, DLPA. Also taking her recommended Multi-Vitamin, B-Complex, Omega-3, Chromium, Calcium w/ D. I've taken the full profile for 1 day now that all has arrived. I've also been off prozac…

Thats the spirit! :)

I like Ryan's post - the goal is to get in touch with our bodies hunger level and to eat healthy. Counting calories, weighing daily, etc., all add to the obsession and feeds the beast. Some can do it sans difficulty. But others of us are wired in such a way that it becomes an obsession.

Posted: 3.31.15: Dennis - 28 Binge Beast - 2 One of my better months. Pleased.

The 2 books I have recently read on binge eating suggest 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks. Both emphasize breakfast.

I will be adding DLPA to the 5-HTP/L-Glut. Chromium delivered today to use with L-Glut for cravings. So far, so good. Absolutely notice a difference. I did overeat yesterday, but I account that to running the marathon and restocking the fuel stores. The L-Glut & 5-HTP combo is really helping my urge to graze on cereal and…

I didnt catch that but yes, it is appropriate :) It was a tough course, lots of hills, but I really loved that race. Finished on the 50 yard line of Neyland Stadium. Posted: 3.30.15: Dennis - 27 Binge Beast - 2

Posted: 3.28.15: Dennis - 25 Binge Beast - 2 This morning felt urge (usually not a morning thing) but I got out and just jogged for 20 minutes. Had some coffee, now Im already better.

I started taking the 5-HTP and L-Glutamine. Chromium is being delivered. These were in my protein powders, but not the dosages she recommends. I'm holding off on the others until I can read more.

I'm on day 2. I feel so mellow & care-free. Definitely feel so much less anxiety.

No better time to start than right now! Your future self will thank you.

I purchased all on Amazon (books and supps). I noted they were all at local drug store also.

Interested in following - I too have read l-glutamine, & 5-htp are essential for seratonin production and sustaining levels. My protein powders contain these supps and the others you mention.

Welcome Boxinggrrrl. Come out from the shadows, we don't bite :) We are all here for the same thing. Last nights binge: I came home hungry, I knew my appetite was huge. It was cold and snowing. Running outside probably not an option tonight. I started to try to tame the appetite by eating broccoli and salad. Then I ate…

Great post. One of the things I have been doing is logging my hunger level before eating on a scale of 1 to 5.

You're welcome , we are all here to help.

I can relate to some of this. quite a few veterans of this group could too. I also lock up carbs at night and give my wife the key. I eat a ton of veggies, and have a very restrictive diet. I would recommend a book Overcoming Binge Eating Edition 2 by Dr. Christopher Fairburn.
