I am sure you have heard this before. But the only foods which provide your body cholesterol are those derived from animals. If you cut out a large majority of animal foods your cholesterol would drop dramatically and quickly. Good Luck and Good Health to you!! :)

Not like I know all the details re: the mercury contents in tuna, but I'd look into just how much tuna is healthy to consume on a weekly basis. I can't imagine eating massive amounts of it can be good for you :/

I was always told that excess amino acids are broken down into fats and sugars which then are stored as fats. I am not 100% sure, but if your body doesn't store excess protein as fat (in one way or another) what does it do with it? I know it doesn't just hang around as protein floating in our bodies for whenever we need it.

Excessive protein intake is stored as fat if your body doesn't need it. Unless you are vigorously exercising too much protein is not a great thing.

Changes in your diet effect your menstrual cycle. When I went vegetarian my periods turned virtually into nothing, went to my doctor and she said that it's just because my body is probably happier so I should enjoy it. I wouldn't worry :)

What do you eat if you have trouble getting to 1200 calories? My gosh I find it near impossible to keep mine down that low! Are you eating three meals a day?

You should try to get as many nutrients from food as you can without going over. I've found that it's the nutrient content of the calories you eat that is the tricky part of dieting.
