Your daughter just needs more of what you have during meals. If she struggles with the “more” as in volume, she can hide it. Add a pat of butter to her side dish, she can choose whole milk while you choose skim, she can add nut butters to yogurt, smoothies, and on top of muffins and toast, she can add some cheese to her…

I have tried it before. Not for weight loss but to correct some major digestive issues. Eliminating fibre completely is wonderful for me. After years of being told my pain and slow digestion would be corrected with more fibre to move things along. Getting rid of it has me the least bloated and the most regular(approx every…

I loved it when I had it! Have you tried their workouts before? Make sure you at least enjoy some of the “trainers” and the workouts. Some of them, I could not handle their way of speaking and just got grumpy during the workout. Maybe weird, but true. The variety is great, the price for a year is great, not having to leave…

I doubt it helps me lose any faster. I still eat throughout my day....... I do all my workouts fasted though because my digestion is slow, it takes a long time for food to be out of my stomach. If I work out within 4 hours of eating it will go badly! A walk I can do, but heavy lifting, running, or aerobics and I will puke.…

Bare foot or barefoot style very minimalist shoes. Every workout is in this style. Heavy lift days, runs, long hikes, aerobics, etc. I transitioned to barefoot after 2 separate bouts of stress fractures about 15-16 years ago and have not looked back. My lower legs gained so much strength and I have not dealt with shin…

I love insanity! Have been doing it on and off for years! It is a great feeling to accomplish the workouts, look at the schedule and realize you. Did. The. Whole. Program. But even when I only do a month I feel amazing at pushing myself through it. I find it increases my running speed(I am and always will be slow, but it…

I so wish that calorie counting pill was available to us all! I hate counting!

I have been told by my doc that the symptoms I have had over the past 2 years are perimenopause. I turned 40 this past weekend. Dizzy and nauseous the few days before my period, and weak during. I had a uterine resection 2 years ago due to fibroids and severely heavy blood loss. I am still taking tranexamic acid to reduce…

I have been low carb and often keto levels for years. You will lose initially(water weight) but if you want to keep consistently losing I suggest also counting calories. Low carb controls my migraines and in general my head and body feel awesome. But I have both lost and gained eating this way. Recent gains have pushed me…

I am a 40yo(almost) woman. I weigh 165lbs at 5’7”. Trust me, as a young, low weight man, you are not going to put on muscle eating 1800cal. That is what I eat to lose. Properly use mfp, set up to maintain at the very least(preferably gain at a slow rate), weigh and input your food, work hard at muscle building with a good…

But spoons and cups for liquid. Like oil. Because the nutrition facts state serving size in ml, so I am going to measure in ml. Just like if the nutrition is in gm/oz I measure in those increments.

I had not used one for years until two summers ago when we started going up to a friends newly purchased fishing lodge in northern Saskatchewan. It needed some work to get ready for guests that year and this year with his expected influx of guests from the US having to cancel, we went again and did further upkeep to some…

I love French press coffee. I bring my press if I have to go to my parents house(they drink instant) or my in-laws house(keurig users). I hate keurig, it all tastes like burnt plastic to me. We use an electric drip maker most mornings. I like it because I set it up the night before on its timer and then wake up and not…

I love hip thrusts. But don’t have the set up for it at home. I hope my gym opens back up soon!!

I feel that way about chalene Johnson. Cant stand her talking to me. I enjoy a good number of their workouts but am not currently a member. But when I think about Beachbody, I think of the trainers I love(Shaun t) and the few I dont(chalene).

That is how I make mine. Before I had a pressure cooker I would add a tbsp of ACV to the water and cook for 24hrs in my slow cooker. But now it is the same recipe with only 4hrs on the instant pot. Nice thick “jello” like broth once it cools. We use bone broth for tons of cooking and soup. And if we are not using it fast…

Thank you! I am not celiac diagnosed but gluten is a major migraine trigger for me. My doctors have cited the same info you have given and more!

Follow flyer or online posted sales. Utilize your freezer to prep meals with said sale items for future use. Buy in bulk as your budget and consumption allows. For example: when we were very low income some months I could buy a 20lb bag of rice and a 4L extra virgin olive oil and then smaller sizes of the items needed that…

I just posted on another thread, so will duplicate it here. Snacks, eat everything with dip/dressing, add nuts, cheese, protein shakes with banana and Pb, bacon, milkshakes. Etc. You don’t have to always have”healthy” things. Branch out. Eat healthy but add in yummy fun things. Calories are all that matter.

Snacks. Anything with dip, cheese, nuts, protein shakes with pb and banana, BACON. Should not be too difficult. Branch out.

Me too! I had to be off coffee before minor surgery once. I was sad and the low energy made me feel like lifting would suck. A good punch of caffeine before weights keeps me going.

Keep protein higher than typical keto. This can help with feeling satisfied, helps maintain muscle mass, and will bump your calories up. I like to hit a minimum of 100gm but usually aim higher as I lift and am hoping to maintain muscle as much as possible even when I go into a deficit. If you still need more cal after your…
WOW, super interesting read thanks for sharing. I would love to try this out and see my readings over the week.
How much does this cost?
In Canada a think they are just above $125 without insurance.

I drink tea. Or, if I have thought ahead, I save some calories for a snack. Right now my go to is plain Greek yogurt with protein powder mixed in. It thickens nicely, amd depending on what powder I use has enough sweetness to curb my cravings.

We keep ours about 65degrees F in the winter. We have in floor heating but barely use it. We trucked 5tons of wood pellets in this year and heat with a pellet stove. In the summer the house stays at about 22degrees C. Sorry, I don’t know why but I have always used different measures depending on season. We have cement…

I love experimenting. I can see myself testing this out in the future. I was told I was pre diabetic 10ish years ago. I know my glucose numbers change pretty drastically depending on if I have grains in my diet vs just fruit and veg, it would be cool to have the numbers held against my food diary!

Could you plan your day so you can walk slower?? And then really focus on how you are moving so as not to hyperextend? Also, knee wraps and shoes of course. The wraps are something you can typically have good luck with without trying on first.

I switched to barefoot shoes approximately 15 years ago. My history was high school sprinting and long distance running and then starting a running routine in my 20s for overall health. Well that landed me with shin splints turned to multiple stress fractures in both legs. Healed and treated for those just to have them…

I run and hike and snowshoe and cross country skii all winter. I am in Manitoba and have no issue going out on the -40C/F days. You want layers. Some thin to start, with heavier on top. Wind blocking outers. I usually wear my most innermost layer of thin wool, then one or two heavier layers of wool or fleece on my upper…

A good sized serving of protein, and a salad with vinegar as dressing. Prob a glass of wine later or a protein shake if i feel like I need more for the day.
