  • I came in on the 1:20 on mine!
  • Pool closed in my hometown--so no swimming this week. Keep up the good work for those of you that have access to a pool!
  • Thanks for the responses! Any specific tips for diet? I try to really boost protein, but calorie-wise should I still maintain a deficit, maintain a greater deficit, or eat more?
  • I did last week's challenge. I made the 75s on the 1:30, 1:15, and on the minute. I also did the 50s--the last few were tough to do with little breathing, but I made them. Way to go everyone who completed this!
  • I completed the 16X75s fly this morning. It was tough and I didn't lose any time this week (I came in on the :25, and left of the :30). I donated blood on Wednesday afternoon and I have been pretty tired, so I won't worry about it too much. I finished--and I am glad. Good job to all who have finished these challenges and…
  • I don't have kids. I am pretty young yet (23), but whenever someone asks me when I will get married and have kids, or even when my boyfriend talks about it in the future, I instantly feel sick and uncomfortable. I think you have to sacrafice so much to be a mother--you have to be selfless and and I am not ready to…
  • I drink SlimFast shakes for lunch during the week. Its easy for me to pack for work and it has worked for me so far. I have lost 16lbs. People say that you don't learn how to eat healthy that way, but I eat balanced breakfasts and balanced dinners, and I always pack fruit and veggies to snack on at work.
  • Yeah, I try to stay away from the Food Network unless I know they are cooking something healthy and I want to cook it while I watch or after I watch it. It seems like TV in general can be a dieter's worst nightmare--all those Pizza Hut commercials are designed to make you hungry for cheesy, greasy pizza.
  • I agree with you. I don't eat back all my exercise calories (I eat more than 1200 generally, but not much more) and this is the first time I have lost any weight in 5 years. I also weight train, swim, and run--I have noticed some definite toning so I doubt I am losing lean muscle.
  • I did this week's challenge this morning. I think I am finally getting my swimming "stride" back. I completed all of the 100s (even the I.M.) in the 1:30-1:45 range--the freestyle ones were definetely on the 1:30, which is a better time than my first attempt. By the time I got to the 8X100s, I was a little dead, but i…
  • I have a waterproof iPod shuffle that I would love to use, but I don't have very good waterproof headphones. Any suggestions would greatly help me as well.
  • Yay! That must have been nice. Good for you. :)
  • Hi Monkeylost, what kind of headphones do you use for your waterproof MP3? I have a waterproof shuffle and I got these waterproof headphones as a gift--but they keep falling out when I swim and its really hard to work with them. Do you have any tips?
  • I did this week's challenge this morning. It was rough and I am pretty sure I won't be able to lift my arms tomorrow morning, but its soooo worth it. I did the 16X25 FLY on the :30 and the 10X50 Free/no breath/back on the 1:00--I made them in the 30s but I needed oxygen pretty bad after those and the 25s. Great challenge…
  • I know! When people do that it makes me a little crazy to be honest.
  • Lol! I get my hair caught in it when I put it on in the morning and then I have to uncomfortably push and pull to get it right. Ah, the joys of being a woman.
  • Sweet challenge this week. Love it. Doing it.
  • I appreciate all the honesty going on in this thread. Its hard for me to talk about my past as someone with an ED, but I still struggle from time to time. It's nice to know I am not alone. Please add me if you need support. This is a very sensitive issue. To be honest, I haven't really ever talked to anyone who I know has…

  • Does anyone have any favorite sets that they would like to share? I have always loved transitional I.M.s. I usually do 8X75 yards Transitional I.M.s (when you do 1st 75 = 25 fly, 25 back, 25 breast 2nd 75 = 25 free, 25 fly, 25 back 3rd 75 = 25 breast, 25 free, 25 fly 4th 75 = 25 back, 25 breast, 25 free Repeat pattern…
  • I did the 4X100s on the 1:45 (don't laugh!). I could not believe how hard that was for me. I am glad I did it though. :)
  • My aunt (an avid runner) has actually had an accident in her pants. She claims that running loosens you up...I don't know, man, I have only ever had to go really bad once and I made it home, but I try to go before I run even if its early.
  • Ms. or Mr. role out of bed two minutes before work and show up to a professional job looking and smelling like crap. No one is going to take you seriously, slob!!!
  • An accent. Preferably British, Spanish, or Italian.
  • I'm in! I swam in high school and on and off in college (I just graduated). I love the set idea 4X100s, etc. I usually try to get at least 2,000 yards in per hour of swimming. Its been a few months now, so I might be a little slow now--but I want to get back into it!!
  • My ultimate power song is "Triple Double" by Girl Talk. Here is a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0yY0zxk-18.
  • That is so backhanded and cruel! It makes mad. As far as stress goes, I know what you mean. It gets tough not to just throw in the towel. I find that a scolding-hot shower or bath relieves some of the tension--really just taking some time for yourself. Working out is notorious for relieving stress, too. Also, I find that…
  • This is such a funny post. My dog's name is Duke and his nickname evolution is as follows: Duke-->Dukie-->Wookie-->Wookins-->Woo. Sometimes I call him Winklevie for no reason--so weird...
