  • Great post, Matt!! I have been like a roller coaster with my weight for the past several years. I do good for awhile, then I will backslide. I have a family of five, so buying healthy food is really expensive (especially now, since I am the only one that has income coming in). I don't buy junk food, like chips-cookies, but…
  • Great motto!! I haven't thought about it that way? Cheers to being healthy!! :drinker:
  • I don't worry about the calories I earned back from exercising. I just try to stay at the 1200 calories per day. (Which some days are hard for me---sometimes I end up going over--which sucks!):grumble:

  • Yahoo!! Today is a new day! We are having a health screening on site today, here at work. I just got through with some tests; cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, etc... this year everything is normal---great for my age, heighth. Last year I was 30 pounds heavier and high cholesterol and blood pressure! This had made my day!…
  • I messed up.....I gave in. I thought just a little won't hurt.....Now I am miserable. I am a failure. Why do I even try? I always start off good in the mornings, I actually went for a brisk 30 min walk before work and then look what happens. I think it is a mental thing----I see food, I want food, I eat food. I feel…

  • Congrats!! keep up the good, hard work! I wish I could say the same---I blowed the weekend---too much fun in the sun! I feel miserable today. Last week I weighed in at 176, this morning I am back up to 179. :grumble: No more beer! Yikes! I need will-power--seriously!
  • My bad - poor calculation:blushing: I had 4 water bottles at work and before the T-ball game was over--I ended up drinking another 2 bottles + the powerade. Can you drink too much water?
  • Thanks ladies (KandyJo & Meags23) for your responses. I believe your right about my body rebelling. I am a little sore from walking and doing some strength exercises. I guess I will need to find the right pace for me until my body gets use to it.
  • I had a total of 10 bottles of water and 1 powerade (calorie free)--throughout the day. ( I had quite a bit of water that afternoon watching my little girl play t-ball). It was 105 degrees (counting heat index)--very, very humid. When I started walking it dropped down in the lower 80's + heat index. Do you think I just got…
  • What video is this and where can I get it? It sounds interesting.
  • Welcome everybody!! Any suggestions on this topic: I went for a brisk walk for 30 minutes late yesterday evening and I had stomach cramps all night afterwards. I did do a cool down walk for a 1/2 block before going in. I took a shower and went to bed around 30 minutes after walking. Does anybody know what caused this or…

  • I would like to know if this really works also??
  • Thank you. I will purchase more vege's, and try to stay away from the pre-made foods. This helps. I will be glad when my real vege's get ready in my garden!
  • What about the sugar intake? It seems like everything has tons of sugar in it. Even the Special K bars or the fiber bars. I will do ok with calories, but I am always going over on the sugar & fat intake--mainly the sugar. Any suggestions?
  • You all look GREAT!! Congratulations! Keep up the good work. I am having problems staying away from food and it seems like I always run out of time to do any type of exercise. I am still working on getting my life in order. You guys are an inspiration! Thank you.
  • I find myself fighting the same battle! It seems like I am wanting to eat all of the time. I know I lost 30 pounds last year and gained almost 15 pounds back this year because of the binge eating! Somebody told me to try to find something physical to do, like do some situps, clean house, etc. -- something, anything…
  • I heard if you eat something spicy (like Salsa) would help with the sweet craving--less calories!
  • Lord knows I do! Drinking water instead of eating helps! My problem is will power---if I see food, I want it. So far today, I am doing ok!! Yahoo!!

  • Congratulations!! Looking good. Keep up the good work!
  • I agree with you. I have the same problem, people saying that I do not need to lose weight--especially my husband. But I disgust myself, so how can I look good! I have cellulite from he--! I am doing a roller coaster ride with my exercise/eating habits. I do good for awhile, then I go back to my old habits. UGGHHH!!…
  • It sounds like to me, he doesn't give you much support. Do not let him discourage you!! Hang in there! You deserve to be treated better than that---life is too short to put up with this!
  • I have returned from a very stressful 2008. I am trying to get my priorties straight again, because in 2008 I lost 30 pounds total. Since November 2008, I have gained 12 pounds back and boy, I can feel it. So I am going to try to count calories again with the help of my friends on myfitnesspal website!! My motivation is…
  • I am with you. I feel the same way. I roughly lost 10-12 pounds-it fluctuates- and I am stuck in the same rut. There are times I feel like giving up and it is not just my eating habits. Life can be depressing at times. In my case anymore, more depressing than usual. I guess I am in one of those moods myself! I haven't been…
