I just have a weightlifting app on my phone I go by. Getting heavier when I can. My maintenance is 2075, but I am eating at 1750. Went up from about 1500 a couple weeks ago. So do I need to up my calories again? I get anywhere from 130 to 150 grams of protein daily.

I have been doing strength training. Forgot about adding that. I have a gym membership. I go five days a week. And go to a trail and hike on Saturday. I take Sunday off.

That is how they suggest to do it, but many people just go at their own pace. I did level one for a month, level two a month and level three for a month. Everyone is different.

I have a withings scale that measures the body fat also. Haven't had it long, so not sure how accurate it is.

I know exactly where you are coming from. My husband and I started going to the gym in November. Started out on the treadmill. Finally got someone at the gym to should us the weights. I am about to start her shred. I have heard a lot of good stuff on her ripped in 30. That's what I will be doing after the shred. I think it's about the same time also.

That's a pretty big jump. If you are already feeling like you are going to die with two miles. It's not good to up it to 4 miles on Saturday. Take it slow.
