My turning point was when I stepped on the scale and saw that I was 301. I couldn't believe that I'd let myself get over the 300 mark. That's when I got really serious. That and my upcoming move to South Korea where an XL is equivalent to a US Medium. I don't want to be the biggest person in the country!

A crown & 7 is around 200 calories. My fav, but I only ever have one and I don't drink that often. Good luck! You could always just order something non-alcoholic (water, diet coke, etc)

This last Christmas, my half-sister made it a point to come up on Christmas (which my parents and I usually spend with my mother's side of the family) to give me a VERY important gift: a packet of ranch dip mix and a spice packet for chili. Yep. Best gift ever! (not)

I eat leftovers of whatever I made the night before! It works out great because I get sick of sandwiches or salads, too, and nothing goes to waste!

What I always do when I know I'm going out is to try and find something on the menu BEFORE I go that I know I can order. I also count chips out to one serving (which is 12 chips) and make my friends keep the bowl AS FAR AS POSSIBLE from me. It's hard, but you have to just remind yourself why you're doing this! Good luck!

I usually do a 10 minute warm-up of some kind of cardio, then whatever weights I need to do depending on the area I'm targeting, then 30 more minutes of cardio. I read this article about how doing cardio last actually burns more fat. It's pretty interesting, if you want to give it a read.…
