detoxing makes me cringe. your body knows what it's doing.. it has organs that have that specific job. All these short term fixes lead to no long term results. working out and watching what you eat every single day (clean diet) is the only way to stay healthy.

"ideal" is different for everyone... but I feel best when i'm very lean. My back and joints don't hurt, I sleep better..I have more energy. i get the heck away from the kitchen. I have 100 cals left, so I grab a tall ice tea and retire to the bedroom with my laptop. I don't leave till morning. If I have to eat something a bag of 100 cal popcorn or a big salad with a light dressing... btw I hate that starving feeling- it happens to all of us.

I used to pop a bag of the 100 calorie popcorn... mix up a small drizzle of 1 tablespoon of country crock cinnamon and splenda... I try to avoid too many white carbs, but I also avoid fatty meat and cheeses... I try to eat very lean; chicken fish veggies etc. I treat myself once in a while... but I need somethign I can live with- and the quick fixes always got me in trouble- best of luck with your choice!

I think you should try to focus on a 24 hr period.. because a "day" is relative to what you are measuring it against. You could count calories per week if you want... but I think a day is choosen becuase it is manageable. KWIM?
