  • I just saw this challenge today - March 9th. I've been binge drinking beer and it's shooting my carbs through the roof. I'm done. Not a prob.
  • I detest water. I drink 4 liters of diet Pepsi per day. I'm doing better these past few days. Really cut back on the pop. Took a 24 oz bottle of water with me on errands (instead of a pop) and it was quite simple to drink that. Did find myself looking for a bathroom though. (sorry I haven't posted before, I was out of town…
  • I'm just back myself. I know I can do 5, but would sincerely hope for 10.
  • I had Roux-n-y 11 years ago. Epic fail. Trying to get back on the wagon with MFP. Sure could use some new friends. All of my old ones dropped out. Exercise is my biggest problem. I log on a lot and am really upbeat and encouraging, so you'll get lots of cheers from me. I sure could use some encouragement in return. Thanks,…
  • I"m on about 8 meds for depression/bi-polar disorder. Yes, it has made it difficult. Initially when I started taking them I packed on 65 lbs in about 4 months. it has taken me about 2 months to lose 18 lbs. I'm sorry you are having a hard time. Actually, I think it is a miracle that we are not putting on weight. I'm not a…
  • I feel your pain. I lost 150 lbs. with weight loss surgery and in 9 years regained 110. Doesn't matter what the number is though. Five or fifty - it is equally devastating. You've done a great thing for yourself by joining up. I've got your back!! Julie

  • Hi! I'm just coming back after a week-long binge. I think I joined in the end of april. This is a really good place to get honest with yourself and to be encouraged by other people's progress. Glad you're back. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. I sometimes post goofy stuff, but will be sure to encourage you and…
  • Amazing!! Both the weight loss and the suit. Word to the wise - if this is the first time you've sewn with lycra/spandex or elastic - try it out in the shower or tub first (voice of experience here). Want to make sure the fabric won't sag, be see through, or the elastic/thread gives too much. Don't want to rain on your…
  • February 21, 2001, 330 lbs - Gastric Bypass Surgery February 2002 - 175 lbs - felt like crap May 2010 - weight 294 - doctor wanted to put on me on blood pressure medication. I had always prided myself (falsely) that well, I may be fat, but at least I don't have any "fat people" diseases - high bp, diabetic, etc... Well,…
  • You can feel free to add me as a friend. I check the boards several times a day. I have a lot more weight to lose - I am really inspired by all of the exercise you are doing. I want to get out and ride my awesome bike (The Pink Lady), but even at 11 p.m. it is still 80F and I'm just not up for that yet. Just remember -…
  • Thanks for posting. I'm seriously considering converting. I don't eat red meat and eat very little poultry and fish. I'm just trying to figure out some recipes and meal plans before I do it. Thanks again for the info.
  • Count me in. I'll try and send a friend request to everyone. Been sick lately and it has stalled my weight loss. At least I have maintained. Updated CW 283 Julie
  • Muscle weighs more than fat. Your measurements (and how your clothes are fitting) are the truest guide. Don't be discouraged. Your doing great!!
  • I try not to eat back what I exercise off. Now that I am careful about what I eat I find that I am way below my calorie requirement of 1,590 per day (yup, I'm that fat). Most days it's easy but I was so hungry today so I ate more than usual but still stayed under my goal. Just my thoughts. Julie (jhamlin6668)
  • I understand. I am a baking fanatic and my specialty is bread. I could (and have) eat an entire loaf in one sitting. You sure have come to the right place for weight loss tools, support, and encouragement. I've only been here about 2 weeks myself, but have lost 9 lbs. You are on the right track. Remember - this is a…
  • This is my first time being a part of the one week challenge. I'm so glad Dee started it. I just joined MFP about 2 weeks ago. I have eaten more fruits and veggies in the past two weeks than I have done in the last two years. All I ate was chocolate (a family sized pan of brownies in less than a day) or a whole bag of Dove…
  • My projected intake for the day is 1,590. I consistently eat 12-1400. I do NOT eat back my exercise. First of all, I don't get that much exercise. I'm so overweight and out of shape that scrubbing the bathroom floor on my hands and knees puts me in a dripping sweat and definitely elevates my heart rate. I figure if I am…
  • This may sound totally gross, but trust me, it is pretty good. I used to make a skinny cheese danish out of it. Take one slice of bread, put however much cottage cheese on it, sprinkle some artificial sweetener and a little bit of cinnamon. Then, put it under the broiler until it is warm/mushy/creamy (pick your adjective).…
  • Your realization is very insightful and inspirational. I"m glad you shared it. Julie
  • I'm in the same boat. Let's paddle together. Send me a friend request. I don't have time to add details now, but will fill you in later. I started Seroquel three months ago and have gained 40 lbs. Yesterday the doctor added Depakote (as a migraine preventative) and that is also a weight gainer. Would love to be friends.…
