I use my Bowflex HRM with chest strap during my workouts, and I wear a fitbit to track activity throughout the day.

Before the weight loss, I had one right above my breast, and another on my thigh. They haven't changed at all not sure about other areas of the body.

When that caloric deficit is present, your body is forced to find some alternative source of energy on your body to burn instead. Ideally, this would ONLY be your ugly stored body fat. However, it can also be your pretty lean muscle tissue. You do your research like I said!!!…

You won't be disappointed, heck you have made me wanna pull it back out! LOL..Might do that this weekend!

I started off with 30 day Shred, and I loved it! It was just what I needed seeing as though I had never been one to workout in any shape or form. I'll have to say it worked for me , it helps to tone and also built up my endurance so I was able to move up to more extreme workouts.

I weigh everyday as well, just to make sure I'm staying on track, and out of habit. Unfortunately I rarely take rest days cause the guilt just kills me.
-
No, but I'm uber clumsy and envision doing that all the time!
-
Yeah well you need to do some more research I have lost 92 pounds total, and have plateaued on occasion for that very reason, and I also measure and weigh everything I put in my mouth. And if your not fueling your body enough your body will stop burning fat . Like I said do your research!

The list is almost unlimited as to what could cause a plateau, you can also plateau from not eating enough calories cause your body is trying to hold on to everything you eat to keep from going into starvation mode. Your metabolism also slows down if your eating the same amount of calories everyday your body becomes…

Makes plenty of sense it means you are losing inches which is just as good if not better than pounds! Great Job!

OMG Peanuts in the shell are my favorite, pistachios, any kind of nuts are good sure they add calories but I always have plenty left over from working out so I don't worry about that, you just have to make allowances for them, and as far as the fat it's what they call good fat so no worries again.

Wherever you go I would try to stick with salads light dressing , you may have the calories left for other things but don't forget the sodium, and Subway is a bad choice for sodium unless you get a veggie sub.

Just ate some with pita chips, but it's also good with cucumbers, and I also like it as a spread.

Try not to freak out about it, all sorts of things can make the scale fluctuate. I would give it a few days and see if it's back to normal before worrying about changing anything. Try increases your water intake that sometimes may help.
Well you have to understand that our bodies also burn calories at rest, so you have to deduct those calories as well to get your ''net'' calories. I'm not saying cardio is bad, it's the only thing that ''causes'' calorie loss. Dieting is ''passive'' while as working out is actually utilizing calories.
…

The pecan cinnamon coffee cake ,my guy brought home yesterday! Thankfully I was able to resist yesterday Lets see what today holds! LOL

I don't know who these Steve Turano is or what he considers average people, but the more you weigh the more you burn. I can't speak for others, but I use a HRM with strap, and nothing is exact but it's close enough to accurate without me having to worry about overestimating.
-
Ummm this is so wrong! Cardio is what burns calories, and how much you burn depends on your weight and intensity level. Heck I can burn almost a 1000 calories doing one hour of cardio especially in beast mode. A 30 minute workout is a great start, when I first started I could only do 20 minutes you will build up your…

Just make sure you have some healthy snack options available, and plenty of water.

As long as your creating a calorie deficit your gonna lose weight no matter what, so if you don't wanna log you don't have to I just like to be as accurate as possible so I use a hrm for my workouts, and weigh and measure all my foods. I do know nothing is an exact science but it helps me to feel better.

I feel your pain, I was in the obese category all my life. Tried all kinds of fast fab diets that either didn't work or I was unable to stick with. What finally got me motivated was looking at pictures of myself and realizing I was getting bigger and bigger, and decided it was time for a change. Unfortunately you are going…

I keep mine on till the number falls just above my resting level , so I usually take it off between 100-110, but for no longer than 10 minutes once a workout is completed. Not saying it's the right way but it's what works for me.
-
That is a great NSV..Your willpower has gotten stronger!
-
Perhaps but seeing as though the original posters workout routine consist of walking the HRM is good, and more accurate than a pedometer for that!

WooHoo you have done a fantabulous job!
