  • weight fluctuates quite a bit due to hormones, water retention and other factors. if you weigh every day at the same time, you will see normal fluctuations. if you choose to weigh once per week (which i think is recommended) then do so at the same time, such as, as soon as you wake up, before breakfast, etc. i used to…
  • it also depends on the size of your b00bs. my friend was very very large breasted and she and i weighed about the same, but she looks much much heavier than i did b/c i have small breasts. everyone is proportioned differently.
  • tell me more about it......... never heard of it
  • I KNOW! i totally don't understand that either. when i got married i was 110 lbs a size 7/8. a few years ago when i was at my goal weight of 124, i was a size 2!!! go figure!
  • i like Pure Protein brand powder. it has very few g/carbs and it's high in protein. i think it tastes good, i always mix mine with milk, but my husband mixes with water and he likes it just fine. (drink post-work-out, and also try "real" foods containing protein, for you, beans, cheese if you eat dairy, dark leafy greens,…
  • it sounds like you have it all nailed down. keep up the good work. :flowerforyou:
  • oh, i agree with you that what you are doing is "better" than the alternative of what you used to do or what you "could" do. i went through a period where i "had" to eat breakfast or i would nearly pass-out. i never thought IF could be for me. i adapted to it, and now on days when i do eat breakfast, i feel kind of…
  • make sure you aren't dizzy for another reason such as an inner ear infection or sinus infection. carbs before usually helps, as the P.P. suggested. i went through that when i first started working-out because i wasn't used to it. make sure you aren't over-doing it if you are new to the gym/working-out.
  • 580 calories is some really good chocolate and a diet soda. you could even have a hand-ful of popcorn. if it's been 6 years since you went to the movies, i personally wouldn't count calories!
  • you will get 1000 different answers. LOL i personally drink 12 cups (that is 96 oz) per day. from what i have read, drinking half your body weight in oz per day is the "ideal." for you, that would be about 92 oz. some people say that food, soup, drinks all count toward that fluid intake, but you have to decide for…
  • i personally do not like ice cream (yes, i'm odd) but if i had a craving for it, i would find a way to eat it. either eat a small portion, get a "light" ice cream, or find a substitute like frozen yogurt. my problem is, i have a very severe corn and soy allergy. most of my cravings are for things like chips, salsa, savory…
  • i do 18:6 fast:feast. i love it. i have been doing it for years (minus a few months when i was going through some health issues.) i work-out fasted and feel that i get alot more out of my work-outs that way. my schedule (just in case you're wondering) 6:00 a.m. - up for the day, take hormone meds w/ water 10:00 a.m. - BCAA…
  • you can increase calories by a few easy steps. drink milk with dinner instead of water. add banana to your protein shake. eat a few slices of cheese on top of your chicken breast. eat an avocado. just a few adjustments can give you a couple hundred more calories per day.
  • i <3 my scale, too. huge difference!
  • when does the hunger strike? that will depend on my answer. sometimes we think we are hungry when we are thirsty so i guess i would say first, drink a glass of water and see if that helps. sometimes we feel hungry when we are bored, so in that case, try to read or exercise, or do something to otherwise occupy your mind. if…
  • i do not like tomatoes at all, although i will eat them "in" something such as sauce or salsa. in foods, i do not watch sugar at all. in fact, i don't even have a "sugar" section in MFP food journal. i only log calories and protein.
  • SODA = POP = COKE (IN TEXAS, IT'S ALL COKE! "WHAT KIND OF COKE DO YOU WANT?" DR PEPPER! LOL) If I am going to have one, I will choose "real" not diet or zero. I wil choose Dr Pepper almost every time, except sometimes, I just really crave Pepsi. oh yes, and with pizza, root beer every time. **ETA - fountain drink every…
  • this is for my household. the only difference is that my husband drinks a diet Mtn. Dew every morning and i didn't have to buy those on that particular day. and my son loves hot pockets so i will be buying those this week. but those are really the only two items i buy for them that i don't consume. everything i buy,…
  • there are some fruits (i call them tropical fruits) such as banana, mango, pineapple, etc. which are higher in sugars, so you could just avoid those if you are worried about it. i don't even have sugar on my list of foods (in MFP), i don't record it at all. personally, as long as it's in my calories, i don't worry about…
  • i do it too often to log. it's like housecleaning, i don't log things i do frequently that are part of my daily life. o:)
  • i have to eat pure chocolate 80%+ cacao because i am allergic to soy and corn and almost every candy bar has one or both. i love chocolate with orange zest in it. YUM! i just eat a small bite so it's not many calories. honestly, i would probably rather eat one small square of really good high quality chocolate rather than…
  • i keep a measurement of my thigh whenever i do my weekly measure (along with neck, chest, waist, hips) i honestly don't know what it is at the moment, but all i care about is that it gets smaller! LOL
  • i love peach. i use two bags per mug.
  • i think you might find differing opinions. i say as long as it fits within your calories, it's fine. i personally do not log sugars at all.
  • cheese, beef jerky, avacado, nuts, seeds, fruit, protein shakes, berries, sometimes whole-grain gluten/corn-free crackers with laughing cow spread. nutbutters, water, Pamela's blueberry lemon bars, Lara bars.
  • if i planned to work-out at home, i would never do it. there are a million excuses lying around needing to be folded or cleaned. i go to the gym to make sure i get it done!
  • i did one years ago when my cousin recommended it. it was for 5 days i think. she quit after one day, i kept going and gained about 5 lbs.
  • that looks good, but that looks more like an afternoon snack for me. i don't eat breakfast.
  • chipotle. no question. it's about the only place i can eat with my allergies.
  • i don't have any banners. lucky me! (*)
