No reason you can't have diary. Only thing to avoid is sharp foods e.g. doritos, pretzels.

I have the Ft4. Works well. Just FYI though the calorie estimator on this site is very accurate. At least for things like running. It is off by less than 5% for me.

I'm an ENT. I agree with what many others have said. Post-op pain will vary trememdously from person to person. Pain is subjective. Some people will stay in bed for days while others will be back at work after 2. As long as you don't have OSA you should go home the same day with some vicodin or percocet. Agree with others…

I work 16 hours a day 6 days a week. Switching from days to nights at times. A lot of the time I only have 8 hours between shifts and that doesn't count to commute. Basically go home, eat, sleep 5 hours, wake up, exercise for an hour then go back to work. It's very hard but it can be done.

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. "I really regret that workout" --No one, ever

I think there are two things that make running hard. The first is not having any cardio and the second is being overweight. Not sure if one or both of these apply in your situation. You will be successful running if you are consistent over a long period of time. If you can't run a mile I would suggest something like couch…

I'm on week four and haven't lost any weight yet. Not sticking to the nutrition plan just eating how I normally would. Thought I would lose at least some weight since I am adding exercise and eating the same. Oh well, I am going to start ramping up the diet now. I do feel like I am in way better shape. My resting heart…

Ask your nearest plastic surgeon. If you really do have excess skin it can't really be worked off. Not to be a downer. It's not that big of an operation though.

I'm not sure about there being two different versions. From what I have learned many people can have alternating periods of diarrhea and constipation. FYI IBS is what you call a "diagnosis of exclusion" meaning that once you can't figure out what is causing the symptoms you call it IBS. So there is no definitive way to…

Yeah I wouldn't focus on the cortisol. Just remember that there really isn't any pill or medicine that is going to give you good long-term weight loss results. I agree with the reducing stress. A great way to reduce stress is to exercise! If you follow the MFP guidelines you should lose weight even if you are a little over…

You're not going over your sodium goal right? Do you have high blood pressure or heart disease?
-
Well at the latest birthday I was able to get down to half a cupcake so that is an improvement.
-
Yikes, that is kinda what I was thinking. Trying to figure out why I am not losing the weight even though I am sticking to MFP guidelines. I think overestimating my workout cals is the most likely source. Really need to just spend the hundred bucks.

Sounds like a migraine type headache. IMO not a tension headache due to the location. Sensitivity to light, location behind the eyes and your history of migraine all make migraine more likely. Didn't hear if you get nauseous or if you have any visual changes. Probably best thing to do would be to get a physical with some…

When exactly did the headaches start? Do you have them every day? How long do they last? Is the pain continuous or does it come and go? What is the quality of the pain? E.g. stabbing, throbbing What is the intensity of the pain 1-10 Where is the pain located? Are there any associated symptoms--nausea, vomiting, dizziness,…

Check out Tara Brach's book radical acceptance. My wife really liked it as she deals with issues very common among women especially such as self doubt and low self-esteem.
-
Well I don't think I can answer your question directly but I meditate daily I find it to be a huge help. Part of the issue is finding the cause of being overweight. For me the cause is a mixture of dissatisfaction, which I remedy at times with food, and a lack of mindfulness or awareness that leads to unconscious eating.…

Go to the GYN and tell them what's up. There are dozens of causes for secondary amenorrhea. I wouldn't assume it has anything to do with your exercise regimen which seems within normal limits. People who become amenorrheic from exercise are generally more the marathon/elite athlete type than the fitness enthusiastic.

Interesting list. I don't know if you can exclude all canned and frozen foods as being "weight loss blockers" though. They are not all created equal. Bottom line is read the labels for things like trans fat and sodium. Although IMO sodium is overhyped. All it will cause is water retention which isn't that big of a…

I picked the lowest weight I've been in my adult life--155. That's my sixpack weight.

Not yet. Just started working out again about 2 weeks ago. In the past I have felt addicted to working out though. I think that only happens (for me) when I get to a high intensity so that by the end I get a huge endorphin rush. That is what gets you literally addicted. Agree that it is a great addiction to have.

I have a hybrid bike now. So not a mountain bike but not quite a road bike. I have the Trek 7.3FX. Think I paid around 500-600. You can probably find a used one on CL for $400. It's a pretty good bike. I normally do about 14mph average, which is a good bit slower than a road bike but still fun. Agree with other poster that…

Cool, yeah I am going to take your advice. Considering how sore I am today I think giving shred the full 30 days is in no way below me.
-
Just make sure you take medication holidays. You body will get used to the dose pretty quickly and as the effectiveness decreases the side effects will increase. And yes, when you stop taking the meds you will go through withdraw where you will eat much more than you normally would. Do you take the meds on the weekends.…

Interesting. You are right the idea of drinking spinach doesn't sound so good, but I never shy away from the opportunity to try something new.

There is a dose effect (higher dose, bigger effect) on weight and appetite. Unfortunately, it will preferentially cause fat to be put in the abdomen and cause you to gain some weight (all other things being equal). For such a short time and hopefully not too high of a dose though you should be ok. Most of the trouble comes…

Yeah, I'm at 34 now and the mystical dream jeans are a 30.

Oh man am sore after the first day of 30DS. My chest, shoulders and especially hamstrings are really sore. In a good way.
