Motivational Meditation CDs?

Hi All,
I'd love to hear about people's experiences using motivational meditations (good or bad).
Can anyone recommend some motivational meditations CDs they think might be helpful?? I plan to borrow them from the library.
I've been doing pretty well with my weight-loss so far - 21 lbs since January. *pats self on back* But I'm getting to the point where I've felt fairly "comfortable" in the past, even though I have a good 20+ lbs to go before I hit the top of the healthy BMI range. While I'm still pretty good with my food intake (that's never truly been my issue), I feel myself slouching off on the exercising. I have dysthymia (chronic depression) which makes me doubt myself big time, and often prevents me from working consistently toward my goals. I'm actually really nervous about my ability to stay motivated until goal, and then maintenance.
Someone on another thread mentioned they've found meditation CDs to be helpful on their journey, and I'm thinking this may be a good avenue for me to explore.
Thanks in advance everyone!!!:flowerforyou:

Well I don't think I can answer your question directly but I meditate daily I find it to be a huge help. Part of the issue is finding the cause of being overweight. For me the cause is a mixture of dissatisfaction, which I remedy at times with food, and a lack of mindfulness or awareness that leads to unconscious eating. Meditation really helps with this and so many other areas of your life. Don't think of it as a quick fix way to hypnotize yourself. A steady practice will clear your mind and allow more conscious decision making. And those are just the benefits in the beginning...after several months/years it becomes very interesting.
Here is the site I use for meditation talks.

I have never tried any weight loss meditations, but I HAVE used Sheree Silver's meditation on dreaming and it works BEAUTIFULLY. Her only instructions to me were to just listen to the cd as I went to sleep for 30 days straight (or more) I did this years ago and now I have very vivid dreams and almost always remember them.
She also has a weight loss cd, so it might be worth a try...it is the last product listed... I hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look at the sites you both mentioned. The dream meditation sounds really interesting!
I think for me, rather than needing a "weight-loss" meditation, I need meditations to help me overcome my self-doubt and to help me stay on track with my goals, both long-term and short-term.0 -

Check out Tara Brach's book radical acceptance. My wife really liked it as she deals with issues very common among women especially such as self doubt and low self-esteem.0 -
Bump.
Any other suggestions out there?0
