  • Normal happening for me. I usually try to get on the front row so they know I am not there just to check them out. Seems to work for me. The benefits far outweigh the thoughts of strangers.
  • Did it. Loved It. Going to do it again. It is perfect for someones first 5k cause it is not really focused on time. It is not even timed officially.
  • Dont skip the Yoga. Push through. It helps more than you can imagine if done right. If you just stand there it is boring but if you actually go through and push through each one then you will get a more intense workout than the others and the benefits are unbelievable. When I started I could barely touch my toes, now it is…
  • Ok, I have not been slacking per se but I have been on the verge of burn out so I have decided to drop the strict P90X2 schedule and go with an ad-lib hybrid. So far this week has been really good. Monday - Insanity Power and Resistance followed by a 15 min walk on the treadmill Tuesday - 3.5 mile road run followed by a 20…
  • With the resistance bands it is fine for me. I actually get more out of that than the stability ball stretching.
  • Mississippi here and of course I use y'all but I have really wanted to start throwing in British terms in my everyday language just to throw people off but it is not as easy as that. You actually have to think about language you use and most of the time it just flows so for a Canadian to just decide to start using y'all…

  • P90X2 - Phase 3 Day 1 Complete - P.A.P. Upper I watched it this weekend before doing it this morning. Watching it; I was thinking... It don't look that tough. I don't know why I was anxious. Then I did it! - Looks can be deceiving! - I was sweating profusely and found that it was quite tough! I also made some not so…
  • I got a head start and started my journey after my 38th birthday. When I hit 40 I felt better than I did when I have in 20+ years and havent looked back. 40 is what you make it!
  • True but most of the time it is not because you want it, they dont want to feel bad about themselves therefore it is every time you go out and order something they want to judge you for what you order and throw out the line.
  • Phase 3 of P90X2 is the following schedule: Day 1: PAP Lower Day 2: PAP Upper Day 3: X2 Yoga Day 4: Recovery+Mobility Day 5: PAP Lower Day 6: PAP Upper Day 7 Recovery+Mobility PAP is "Post Activation Potentiation" which from what I can tell just means - I WILL BREAK YOU! :)
  • HATE that one!!!!
  • "Recovery Week" has mostly been rest. Phase 3 of X2 starts Monday - I watched both the PAP videos. Not as scary as I thought but then again, I havent done them yet and sometimes looks can be deceiving but it does look tough. We will see come Monday
  • I mis-looked; I have 2 more weeks in Phase 2 and a recovery week before Phase 3. I feel a little better now :)
  • On week 11 of P90X2 Went with the extended - 6 week Phase 1, 6 week phase 2, 4 week phase 3 plan. With that I am scheduled to go to phase 3 after next week. Not sure if I am quite ready for that. We will see.
  • Duplicate post - Sorry
  • Only stupid people make fun and they don't matter. Remember, no matter how fast you are, you are still lapping the people on the couch.
  • I have to admit it was quite funny that today was Yoga day. I would have skipped no matter which day it was though. This morning I was dragging big time.
  • What do I tell everyone trying P90X or X2? - Don't skip the Yoga! After games last night and getting home late and my shoulders being mush after this week bet you can't guess what happened to me this morning... I skipped Yoga :(
  • Click on "My Topics" and it will show you all the topics you have posted on.
  • Begin where you are at right now. The first step is making up your mind to do something then do it. There is no magic pill, no secrets, just hard work and determination. It is hard but it is worth it.
  • The best time is when when you can do it. With that said, I feel much better throughout the day when I workout in the morning. When I miss my morning workout my day feels worse even when I make it up at night.
  • Trust me, I am not worried about it - I posted it to hopefully give encouragement for those people who are stressing over a gain. Not all gains are considered equally. How you feel, look and how well your clothes fit is a much better gauge. I have had myriad people ask me lately if I am losing again. I am not and even…
  • Gained 3 this week and have had multiple people ask me in the last week if I am losing again cause I look different :-) With that said, I finished week 1 of phase 2 of P90x2 and I am hurting! This is the first time in a long time that my muscles have hurt after working out. Don't get me wrong, I work out hard normally and…

  • It is tough but Tony always gives you a modified move and you do the best you can. Don't shortchange yourself but don't let the fact that you can't do something keep you from trying and eventually you can. P90X2 scared the heck out of me but I can honestly say once I got past the initial fear, I am not doing too bad. There…
  • I forgot my HRM on a few so I don't have an accurate count. Monday I start Phase 2 of P90X2, Watched the video I will be doing Monday - I anticipate lots of "modified moves" :-)
  • This is "Recovery Week" in P90X2 so lots of Recovery+Mobility and Yoga but I started it yesterday officiating 6 fast pitch softball games - Noon-8:30 - 3500 Calories by HRM! ***WHEW*** Tonight and Thursday night I officiate youth basketball. So much for my "easy week" :-)
  • Remember, as I said before, I was as heavy the week before as I have been in a long time. For the past year and a half I have hovered between 223-227 on average. Last week I was 229.8 and said...NOPE, not hitting 230 :-)
  • Last week I was heavier than I had been in a while (229) so I went from maintenance to lose and logged like a fiend. Weigh in this morning = 222 - 7 pound loss for the week! I was supposed to start Week 6 of P90X2 this morning but I forgot my AC adapter for my laptop when I went to the gym so I had to compromise and did 7…
