I was quoting one of the posters above. I could never feel stuffed on 500 cals :)

I can only speak for myself but over the years, I'd lost weigh but always with a fixed goal in mind (ie; party, etc.). I'd lose the weight and find it hard to maintain once I'd reached my goal. This time, I started in January of 2014 hoping to lose about 60 pounds. When I've done this in the past, I'd always hoped to lose…

I love how she felt compelled to let you know how her sex life is, maybe to reassure herself? :)

I had a friend say that to me after I had lost 30 pounds, that I should stop losing weight as I had "lost enough". I was still in the middle of the overweight number for my BMI. She had been complaining that she had to lose weight herself and was much thinner than I was at that time. I said something to the effect of "it's…

We don't have snacks in our office every day but yesterday they catered a Cinco de Mayo meal of tacos, ice cream and churros. I had two veggie soft tacos and ice cream and enjoyed it all. Of course the last few birthday celebrations I passed on the cake and chose yesterday to treat myself. It's all about choosing your…

Even after losing 58 or so pounds, I still have overeating days but I know that it's not one day that will make me gain the weight back but continuing to eat too much will. "Normal" people don't let a day of overeating cause them to eat that way every day, it's just a day to them. They just go about their business and not…

I can see someone being bothered because their partner isn't eating healthier and taking care of themselves but being angry with them because they're not eating the unhealthy foods? I can't imagine having a fight with my husband over something like that.

The only time I use a cup for weighing solids is when I put it on the scale to zero it out and only the food I put in it is weighed.

I don't understand why you think losing 12 pounds in 2 months makes you a "failure", it makes you a winner! I am your height and over my lifetime I've lost weight many times, most of the time starving myself. I of course gained it all back and then some because I did not change my eating habits, only ate very little to…

I just had to stop in to say "health kick"..because.

I was also going to suggest filing for a legal separation. I know it sounds terrible but you will suffer from PTSD once you are fully away, legally and physically. Don't let that stop you because you will wake up from those bad dreams relieved they were only dreams and not your life.

He's texting you to make sure he's still in control. Do not respond. He doesn't regret or feel sorry about what he's done to you, he feels it's his right. Do not tell him anything about what you are doing. You do not want him to know where you are, when you'll be somewhere, who you are with. I know it's hard right now. You…

56 pounds lost in 15 months.

Maybe it's just me but I'd respond that life is short but could be even shorter if I didn't take care of myself.

I can fill up on a big meal of veggies too but the 'stuffed' feeling goes away pretty fast and I'm hungry again sooner rather than later. When I was younger I could eat stupid low calories but now I know better.

You're not at a plateau if you're still losing, even .5 lbs. Congrats!

125-130. My current weight fluctuates between 138 and 140. I'm 53 and started at 193 15 months ago.

I work until at least 6 so don't get home until at least 6:30 so could never stick to that even if I wanted to. Not eating dinner at work. :)

Whenever I get frustrated I remind myself that in the long run, it does work. I also remind myself that eating less and getting more exercise is not temporary but how I should be living. When I get into that mindset I can stick to my 'diet' because there really is no "end" but is a positive change overall. Think of it that…

It shouldn't take you nine years, even with adjustments and I think 1,125 calories for maintenance seems very low. I'm 53 and lost 51 pounds in 11 months eating more than 1200 calories a day (I'm 5"5' tall-SW 193)
