I too wake up in the middle of the night sometime craving peanut butter. However, I like to dip chocolate fudge pop-tarts in my peanut butter. Then I can go back to sleep

If you are just starting to exercise (as a beginner) then I think the 30 DS on it's own would be good to start with. Once your fitness level improves you could go to the gym in addition to doing the 30 DS on the same day. I sometimes like to workout in the morning or lunchtime and then also do the 30 DS later in the day…

I often crave peanut butter and jam in the middle of the night. I sometimes wake up at 2am and go into the kitchen a get a spoonful of peanut butter and jam and go back to bed. I know...it's sickening.

Sorry, I meant 8lb weights!

I usually burn about 195-210 calories with Level 1 of 30DS using 5lb weights.

No, it's because seven was a murderer.

Well I imagine when you actually get closer to your weight loss goal you may have to mix things up a bit to get where you wanna be. But for now watching how many calories you consume and how many calories you burn is the key. I'm not sure if JM has a video just for lower body, I know she has one for abs though...

Have you tried any of Jillian Michael's other DVDs? Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones are 2 that I have tried. They are longer and pretty intense. Try them! They're great :)

Too much fiber can give you the poop-farts. Trust me on this one :)

I told my husband how much I weigh after I had lost 30lbs. He was shocked. He didn't think I weighed that much! I was about 170 when I told him. I am now about 150.

Don't you mean Arctic Zero? I've had this too and it's delicious! You can eat the whole pint and not feel sick or guilty :)

Same here...and a little medical billing on the side

Maybe you have an underactive thyroid? I was having some issues losing weight a few years ago and found out I have an underactive thyroid. Since I've been on medication I've lost over 50lbs. Just a thought...

Go roller skating! It's fun and you'll get some exercise in too :) Then maybe a movie afterwards so you guys can rest.

This is me. Totally :)

I'm sorry to hear that...hopefully it will fuel your motivation to stay away from the sweets. Best of luck to you :)

Get a heart rate monitor. It's the best, and I think the only way to accurately count calories burned. I use a Polar FT7, but I've also heard good things about the Polar FT4. Good luck!

Changing your usual workout routine and possibly increasing your calorie consumption could work. Try it! Also, if you don't mind me asking, what religious reason do you have for not eating sweets? I'm just interested.

Exactly.

Ok, if I hear "I gotta feelin" by Black Eyed Peas or "Moves like Jagger" (or whatever the hell it's called) one more time during spin class, I'm going to get off my bike, karate chop the instructor, and throw the stereo system out the window.

You are so lucky you don't like cheese and mayo. Two of my major weaknesses!

I always think eating an egg is like eating an abortion. It would've turned into a chicken if it continued to develop...right?

Wow, you are really a turd.

I too own this video and have tried all the levels a few times. I was wondering...are you planning to add any other workouts to your routine or just the 30 day shred? I find that only doing the 30 day shred is not enough for me. I also try and run a few miles during my lunch break and then do a 30 day shred after work.

I try to wear my heart rate monitor anytime I do a workout so I know exactly how many calories I burn. I noticed that my heart rate is higher when I run outside when it's 90 degrees compared to when it's only 65 degrees outside. Therefore, I do burn more calories when the weather is hot because my heart rate is higher and…

I think the most accurate way to count the calories you burn is to get a heart rate monitor. That's what I use to log all my workouts.
