Never thought about that till now....

I love that! Good for you! I lost my motivation today when I realized that even with all the hard work I've been putting it, I've been reaping little reward. Time to knock down a few walls/limitations and just breathe.

I've been doing the 4-2 plan so obviously my fat loss will be a bit slower. But I've been consistently losing a pound a week which is a lot better than previously; a plateau!

MFP already calculates the deficit of calories when you plug in your numbers. I and others will say eat them back, others will say they don't, but you should at least eat some of them back. Listen to your body and make sure you're not dipping below at the very least 1200.

I know how you feel. The past two weeks I changed up my diet and exercise and my scale still has not budged but everyone else who has done what I'm doing lost weight. Which yes I'm aware I shouldn't compare everyone is different blah blah blah. But I didn't lose a damn pound in two weeks. Hang in there. If you don't quit…

I'm on it! abberz5615 I have a question, I've been on this plan for a week now and today I ate something I shouldn't had, half a muffin, and I feel horrible. Not just guilt but physically ill. Normal? I'm presuming it's just from the instant sugar spike, but holy crap.

Moi aussi! Feel free to add!

I'm having this problem now and I've had it for a two months, it's pretty sad. Started working out twice a day and upped my cardio last week and changed my diet two weeks ago. No results yet. I presume there is an adjustment period? Good info above!

I have to agree with the above, most likely your shoes are too tight, either from lacing or a combination of wrong size and lacing. Make sure you get properly fitted and replace your runners (I'm told every 6 months but I'm sure other people will chime in with different time frames).

Good work!

Highly agree. Fats (healthy) keep me full, lubricate my joints, and give me good skin. Good carbs give me the energy I need to get through PT. More energy means higher PT scores!

Geesh. I'm not saying watermelon is horrible and obviously it's better than processed stuff. Calm down folks. Personally I eat a low GI diet and I get horrible sugar highs from super sweet fruit like watermelon, dates, etc. Think a kid on pixie sticks, that's me on natural fruits. No lie.
-
I know what you mean, I love watermelon. Sadly it's sugar content is almost as bad table sugar. Blergh.

I recommend what the first commentor has, you're probably not eating enough. What's your vegetable intake like? I wouldn't shun fruit, I wouldn't go over board on it either. Also you need carbs if you are very active. Your body needs to get the energy from somewhere and living on 60 grams of carbs is pretty low for an…

Coffee in itself is good, it's the crap people put into it that makes it horrible, including decaf. The chemicals needed to remove the caffeine? Yuck. Coffee won't hinder weight loss, just make sure you don't over do it or you'll burn out your adrenals.

Thanks! I workout hard, no lie. My endurance and strength have improved and I have thinned out every where but the problem area. I don't mind being curvy. I just mind carrying about 30lbs of extra weight in my hips. It just sucks that I've been working so hard for so long and the fat still clings on for dear live to my…

Thanks for the replies. I'll add in more hip/leg exercises tomorrow!

Congrats on the lost! I plateau a lot! I lose a few pounds of fat and then I stop. Very frustrating. I just amped up my cardio.
-
THANK YOU! Awesome advice.

natural peanut butter! I had the same problem you are having now. Natural PB, that kind that sticks to your ribs, helps bring up your calorie count. Good luck!
-
I'll cheer you on! I'm addicted to MFP. If anyone else wants to add me, feel free.
-
Congrats! I'm still waiting to see the pay off of increasing my caloric intake to get off this darn plateau.
-
I'm in! I need to get down to at least 145, but I'm aiming for 135. 30+ lbs. :\
-
Weekly at most. Don't do daily, it'll drive you crazy with the fluctuations.
-
Two hour PT sessions!! :D

This sounds really naive, but does the zig zagging with the calories really make a difference? I've been in this plateau for far too long and I'm at wits end. Recent change: eating more including calories burned during exercise. After getting on MFP I realized I was eating really low, about 1200 calories a day. I've upped…

Stay motivated! It's a long hard road but the rewards are greater!

They do have a very strict regime but I enjoy it. The PFT isn't too bad and it sucks seeing poolees who struggle with the IST and get shipped out before I do just because I'm well fatter. BUt it is what it is and I'm working hard to get shipped out, the sooner the better. Thank you for your service!

Hahaha! The next time I eat a burger (maybe Memorial Day?!) I'll see if I can pull that off.

I played roller derby for six years but I now just skate for leisure. It's a great fun workout!
