Oh, I see how it wasn’t clear. I meant he doesn’t understand that I don’t want to workout/eat right. Even though I don’t like my weight, I’m not ready put in the work yet. I want to lose weight of course, but I’m struggling to get started on my journey. Thank you for your comment, you have really good points.

I don’t like being this size and I keep wanting the weight loss without doing the work. I’ve lost weight in the past just to gain it right back and I guess I just keep thinking “What’s the point”. At the moment, it’s more important to him. I can tell it really bothers him. I was plus size when I met him, but I have gained…

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and perceptive post. It makes sense that much of my issues are insecurities and I’m definitely working on improving my mental health. I guess it’s true that “to heal your body you must first heal your mind”.

Hi I'm 5"6 and I curious to know your weight?
-
I'm 5"6 227 lbs. I'm bursting out of my 14 jeans and I honestly don't know my actual top size. It's tricky because I have 38DDDs, so I mostly stick to one brand. Free people runs large and their larges usually fit so that's what I wear. When I was down to 170ish I was a size 10 and a top size medium. It's funny how when I…

Hi Candace, I'm Dominique! I'm 23 and I also live in California (:

First of all, thank you all so much for being incredibly helpful and kind. I like the commitment over motivation suggestion. I have to work and pay bills, I must eat in moderation and workout. I do struggle with anxiety/depression. That doesn't exactly help my emotional eating, but I also do not want it to be my excuse. I…

I've came to the conclusion after reading others opinions that it's purely emotional. Food has equaled happiness my entire life. Wasn't feeling too happy yesterday.
-
Not what I meant at all :/ Just meant the cravings not there, but I feel I won't be happy or satisfied when I eat it. Forcing yourself to eat something you don't want for no reason other that emotional, is no brag at all.

You GET ME!!!!!

Congrats on quitting smoking!!! It's like our brains are trying to sabotage us, and tempt us to go back to our old ways.
-
Lol yes you get what I mean. The struggle is real. I must resist.
-
Thank you for getting me! I have had a huge problem with binge eating as well. Do you? If so, what're your coping mechanisms?
-
Dieting since Jan, lost 35 lbs. Today is my refeed day because I WANT a burger.
-
Humblebrag.....?
-
Thank you, you understand what I mean! I need to stop that brain tantrum in its tracks!
-
LOL
-
I'm not depriving myself, and if I wanted a cookie, I'd have one. I WANT to want one , as odd as that sounds.

Swim and eat 1500-1700 calories

That's a bit harsh. She never said she would starve herself, she is just aiming unrealistically high.
-
I agree with all the others. You are setting yourself up to fail. Aim for 2 pounds a week, 12 pounds. If you lose more, kudos. If you lose less.. You will lose more over time. "Little by little a little becomes a lot"
-
Same exact thing!! "How do you lose weight??" "What do I do??" I also reply "eat less, move more." They usually gape at me incredulously.
