Hey! Good luck with your endeavors. I think we all put on some weight over the holidays - I moved from the UK to the USA in October and put on 15lbs between then and Feb. No worries, though, with dedication and some super-simple math, you'll shed it quickly. Add me, if you want, although I'm pretty much at the end of my…

Might wanna post some more about you, your goals, your aspirations, your motivations, etc? Always feels better to know more about the people you're "friends" with.

Wait, ETA?

Weigh yourself Friday mornings rather than Mondays. Problem solved.

The only concert I've ever been to was 2012's Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas show in Houston. I'm kinda worried it'll be hard for other bands to top that.

Oh no, I accidentally read this and now I feel queasy!

You can if you want. The higher your calorie deficit at the end of the day (the difference between your calorie count and the calories you need each day to maintain your current weight), the faster you'll lose weight. However, if you work out and are hungry, eat them back. No point trying to lose weight if you are hungry…

This is the best part of this whole thread.

He wouldn't want her to gain 50lbs because that's not healthy. Who would ever, ever post "Gee, I sure hope my partner gains 50lbs!" unless, I dunno, they had a life insurance policy out on them?

Mixing health with surgeries is always difficult, but if you stick to the numbers you should prevail. Good luck!

30lbs by the end of August is a very realistic goal - one that can be achieved through dedication. Good luck! Keep up with logging and keeping your profile updated and it should be no problem!

The first few weeks are a big loss for many people - retained water weight, full stomachs/intestines, gasses, salts, etc - but let's hope it continues for you! Maybe not.. that fast, though :D.

So long as your profile is set up correctly and you follow the numbers, you'll lose eventually. It may take time, especially if you can't be very active, but the numbers can't lie. Good luck!

I am glad that you decided all that by the fact he threw away some cheap-*kitten* hairbands in anger.

632,500 I put in 5300 minutes instead of 53, but whatever.

Which parts are you finding challenging? The calorie counting, the exercise?

Hey. I went from about 250 to 170 in 6 months last year, then ignored it after I moved to the USA. I've been here a few months now, so I'm back on this site tracking things again - I'd love to keep track of your progress!
-
I'm 27 and roughly the same weight. I lost 85ish lbs last year, and am back to get to an actual healthy weight. Maybe we can keep track of each other!

Hey! I'm in kind of the same boat, used this site for 6 months last year, then moved to the USA and enjoyed life for a while, but now I'm back to trying to take things seriously. I can probably help with the eating habits thing, as I pretty much understand that part of being healthy, if nothing else!

Hey. I'm kind of in the same boat, I lost about 85lbs last year, but over the last few months since I moved to the USA I've not been monitoring myself - I can hopefully help with the eating habits, though, I have that part down pat as long as I actually pay attention to it!
-
Hey. Good luck! I'm not really sure what my goal is at the moment, I lost like 85lbs over the last year, then moved to the USA and haven't been monitoring for a while, and now I'm getting back into a workout routine etc. Not doing anything specific like 30DS, just my own thing.. it worked last year, why not now?

Exactly this. It took cancer and being far away from my partner for 6+ months to give me the motivation I needed. Different people need different things, but once you're in the right state of mind, mentally, it'll happen.
