I usually work out, shower, then eat. If I eat before, I'll get nauseous when I work out. I have to either eat like 2 hours before, or wait until after.

if you're just trying to tone up and not bulk up, i'd use light weights (2 or 3 lbs) with lots of reps. I do a bunch of Jillian Michaels dvds for toning, and she only uses 3 lbs and she's wayyyyy in shape! She says it's better to use low weight and high reps.

For me it's not about keeping my metabolism guessing; it's about allowing myself to have chocolate so I don't go crazy! If I didn't have a little cheat once in a while, I'd give up on dieting all together because I have a huge sweet tooth and can't handle all healthy eating all the time.

I'm a college student. Pretty much sit at a desk all day, and I don't factor in the fast walking to and from buildings on campus. I wish I had a job that would keep me active!

I'm 20 and in college, does that count? Haha and I've actually found it's easier to eat healthy after I got out of high school and lived on my own because I get to do my own grocery shopping. So don't get discouraged if it's hard right now!

one of my roommates has a demon chihuahua. it acts all sweet to her, but when she's not here it growls and tries to bite me, etc. I'm the boss here, not this dog! ughhhh

Yeah I get headaches from lack of caffeine. this is totally not good advice, but i'll drink a coke zero or some other diet soda instead of coffee just because that's a few less calories. But i don't drink anything but water and green tea until i get a caffeine headache. You just gotta say no!

celery is extremely low-cal! one stalk of celery like 8 or 9 inches long is 10 cals or less! good to snack on if you're a person who eats when they're bored like i do :(

have you tried the zigzag calorie thing? eat very few calories one day, then splurge a little the next, and alternate? this can help break a plateau because eating fewer cals for a while will make your metabolism slow down and this will reset it. try!

I get that from my grandma every time I see her. She's just used to me being chunkier. In high school I got up to 155ish lbs, but I'm 5'5 so that's on the borderline of overweight according to BMI index. Now I'm about 130 and my grandma thinks I need to gain that weight back. I'm much more confident without an extra 20 lbs…

anything sweet. candy, cookies, brownies, ice cream, whatever. I have no self control and am addicted to eating out of bordom. Haha I'm not that large though, I'm just trying to drop a few lbs and get toned up.
