1. Seek professional help 2. I would recommend Overcoming Overeating by Lisa Morrone. She helps dive into the "whys" I struggle as well and am utilizing 1&2 to help me.

I love love love veestro. They are a bit expensive but their food is so tasty.

I love lentils and I love this post. Thank you all for your yummy recipes even though I am not the OP. I usually just eat lentil soup from can/box...yum yum. I'm not much of a cook. Lentil soup is a staple food in my diet. I eat it about 2-3x times a week.

I do the same as you...in nice weather I am walking outside. When it's colder/rainy/snowy then I am inside doing Leslie Sansone DVDs. I think it's great! Love it. I will say the other day I missed my walks outside so I bundled up and took a walk. (I'm in the suburbs of Chicago)

Yes yes! I second Isa Chandra moscowitz books!!! (I should've read the whole thread before I replied)

I'm vegetarian (not vegan), but I love love love "Vegan with a Vengeance" by Isa something(sorry, can't remember). The same author has other cookbooks that are amazing. Best onion rings ever. Seriously.

OP, I totally get what you you are saying. I have felt exactly as you described before (and sometimes still feel this way!). First of all, do something you like. I always thought I should be a runner, but I hate running. However I find that I really enjoy walking, so I started walking a half mile a day. The best type of…

I'm sure not a lot of people will agree... When I first started out I did log cleaning at times. I'm a single mom that works a ton of hours, so sometimes I had to choose either clean the house or workout. I didn't want my house to become a pigsty and logging the cleaning gave me extra motivation. I would also log 5 to 10…

(((((((Hugs)))))). I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. Please don't be so hard on yourself. You need time to heal both physically and emotionally. I would recommend finding a support group. There are more than you think out there. 2 Corinthians 1:5 “For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so…

I like no cow bars
-
I personally like the "no cow bars". Flavor is OK, but it is vegan, gluten free, soy free and it has 20grams of protien and approx 180 calories. I eat one a day as a snack, which helps ensure I get enough protien. The protien in those bars are from rice protiens and pea protien. I also plan my meals and snacks around…

Wow! You look Amazing!

I distract myself. One thing I did was learn to knit.

Wow, you look amazing!

I'm a vegetarian. I focus more on protien centered meals rather than low carb. I recently started eating eggs again, so some of my protiens come from eggs. Other than eggs I eat a lot of beans in various forms and quinoa. I eat nuts as snacks. I don't eat dairy due to an allergy. I've lost 20lbs(ish) so far.

and yes, it was delicious, btw :)

I knit to keep my hands busy. Usually when I am snacking at night it is NOT because I am hungry. If you are truly hungry then eat.

www.flylady.net has helped me get my life more organized and balanced (no i dont work there). Also, I just except the fact that nothing will be perfect. i may have to let things slide sometimes. Somethings I give my 110% to, others I give 70% bc it is 'good enough'. Once I realized that not everything needs to be perfect…

I do the online dating thing so I "get it." I say wait a couple days after the first date and text again asking her on a second date. Maybe she was just nervous??? She may have hidden or deleted her profile for various reasons (weirdos, etc). I do say lay off a little on the communication. She may feel a stalker-ish/creepy…

There is a young lady on here that has an AMAZING story. I cannot remember her name though :( If I remember correctly, she had back surgery and started her weightloss surgery by walking a block with a cane. Now she runs 5ks. Her story is amazing and inspiring.

I am 243lbs, so by "default" I should be losing faster. I just don't.
-
I am reluctantly in. I am reluctant because I don't think the goal is attainable for me. I have been here for ~8 weeks and have lost a little less than 8 lbs, which puts me at about 1lb a weeks. With this goal it has me at ~1.5lbs a week. I think my body hates me....LOL

This literally made me LOL
