there are several ladies on here that have fought breast cancer, I am sure they would be willing to give you advice and help out, as no one should walk alone on this journey. after the initial shock and going through all the tests, I've been able to get things under control. do what you feel is best, its a difficult…

Looks like it was just a day of rawness able to eat some solid foods again, so I’m back at eating as much as I can. Today’s labs show I am immune deficiency but my liver numbers are back to normal so things look good still weigh the same, sodium levels are low need more electro lights due to my water intake. But overall I…

BUt I must admit the rawness of my throat is tough, but I am stubborn. ;) we shall see how this…

day six into treatment, Chemo sucks, but doing ok, food taste like crap, but eating anyway, plenty of carbs and protein. I am still working out lifting and doing PIYO some elliptical, not trying to gain muscle, but just trying to make the muscles work. I do feel drained and tired, but pushing through. I know my body needs…

Thanks lana, I don't think I need the CPAP machine I have fellow Scout leaders that have it, but I think mine is just due the tumor deforming my airway, it is right at the back of the throat, so I am not sure if they would give me a CPAP machine for a few months. I did not snore six months ago, but I will certainly…

we would be banned in 50 states

have you gotten your blood work done? before starting this diet, you should get your blood tested and see what your numbers are, then adjust your diet according.
-
Yep surgery was ruled out due to the location of the tumors, it has to be radiation five days a week and one day of chemo per week

You'll never walk alone

OK the fitting is done, we are all set, we are going to start the treatment on Jan 3rd, this way I can visit my family in the North east for Christmas. So things are getting ready to role my friends.

my kids went to public school, they were the minority in their elementary school, my middle child was being bullied by some kid. I told my son to stand up for himself and if he had to, he had my permission to kick his butt. I should my son a few moves and how to throw a proper punch. Now my son never fought the kid, but…

OK I had my PET scan yesterday, they have located Six Tumors in my Throat, neck area, no where else in the body, so I remain a Stage 3 patient. Today the board meets looks like we will be doing the Chemo/Radiation for seven weeks. Tomorrow I go for my Radiation fitting. My lab work came back good, numbers look great, my…

my chest has been hurting lately, I guess I am over stressing as I wait to take my PET scan tomorrow and have the board meeting on Tuesday and Radiation "fitting" on Wednesday. I guess this I normal, tight chest, nightmares. etc. any calming tactics you have used to get by this without drugs?
-
met with Doctors yesterday, they said adding weight and keeping my lifting routine is ideal, to do what I can before and during.
-
who is your EPL team?
-
yep, I know a Bulk in three weeks is pointless, after I talked to a dr yesterday they said just keep what I am doing, I am in great shape for this and as an above poster said, they are more concerned with the recover after treatment, but starting off in good health.
-
yes, I am at Emory University, they are top notch and I will have all of those plus Speech therapy. I also told my wife lap dances are good for motivation ;) lol
-
thanks! so far they said to continue what I am doing.
