When I was in high school, I peaked to 180ish - at 16 and 5'3", I was pretty big. Since then, I've shrunk down from size 18 to 10, to ~135 ish. Want to lose 10 more pounds :)

Not really a chocolate bar but Quest bars have proved to be a great substitute for when I'm craving chocolate. Double chocolate chunk actually tastes like chocolate!

During the week, I try to net just slightly under 1250 - ie eating not all of my exercise calories back, so I can eat a lot (2500ish) once a week :P

When you cut your calories, and eat at a deficit, you lose weight - some fat and some muscle. Lifting during that period helps to minimise loss of muscle. Sign up for one which is few months away, and find a beginners program like couch to 5K. When I started running (not too long ago), I could hardly run 30 s, now I can run nearly 10 mins at a stretch!

Since calorie burn is just an estimate, I eat only a portion of my exercise calories. However, this also depends on how hungry I am on a given day, I end up calorie cycling without consciously meaning to.

Congrats on deciding to make this change, I wish you all the best! However, I'd like to point out that 1000 kcal per day is far too less to fuel your body and also very hard to follow. Try to eat at least 1200 a day net, remember it's not just about weight loss, it's also about being healthier :)

I did Level 1 Day 3 yesterday. Trying to do it 4-5 days and do other exercises on other days to avoid boredom. You can add me as a friend if you want :) We can motivate each other.

As you said, you might be exercising too much. The 30 DS workouts are only 20 mins which may feel less but that's the point of the workout - less for more.
