4'11" here and struggle to lose 1/2 a week. Generally lose about 1-2lbs a month. Starting weight was 175-180lbs, currently at 145-147

7 min miles... holy balls! I'd like to reach 10 or 11 min miles, I'd be content with that! At the most I was doing 5k 4-5 times a week so may 12-15 miles a week? However I often do the whole hour and manage to do close to 5 miles but feel so wiped out after it that I need 2 days rest because my hips and knees really ache,…

Feta cheese, eggs (boiled) :)

If one of your doctors wanted to prescribe metformin to you then I would suggest trying to eat low GI diet (low fast carbs)? This helps people with symptoms of PCOS hugely and can help with weight loss too. I've not done it myself... Also how about asking for Orlistat (Xenical)? That's been proven to work and if that…

Thanks for the info! - however, I already do my run on hilly paths... I wonder if that's why I'm slow?! Oooh thank you :)

Chocolate. I miss it so much but it's SO BAD (or at least the amount I binge on is bad)

No (and not been asked)

I am child free!

Justagirl - no kids

This for me! I don't have much of a problem if I'm honest though... maybe it's the kind of exercise that you do? Try commando?

I fluctuate daily by a whole stone. In the morning I am my lowest, but come afternoon and dinner time I can be anything up to 12-14lbs heavier than I was that morning. I've not noticed a fluctuation around my period though!

I only started using the oil based moisturiser with it very recently, way after the issue started, it's just getting worse and worse so I gave it ago, it found my HR but still dropped out later on. It's the rubberized one I have. It's currently in the washing machine for the first time since I got it (ewww I know but I…

Yep that's the one. Will be unclipping it from now often, thank you for the advice! Will also be washing it in the machine once a week too. No wonder it's being moody with me!
-
I rinse it before using it, but I've never put it in a washing machine, great advice, thank you :)

Over to the left, why have I never thought of doing that?! I've always had it bang in the middle. Duh, will also try this next time I wear it. I was worried it was through over-use as I have used it pretty much every day since Christmas day!
-
I'll do that! thanks :)

I use a little oil based moisturiser with the water since the problem started (about a month ago). Hasn't really helped, I use a lot of water already and sometimes when it gives me a reading of 00, I take it off and re-wet it, but it still has the water on it from the first time :/

I've almost lost 30lbs and dropped over a dress size (but now quite 2 yet!) but it's not very noticeable yet. I imagine with the next 30lbs (when I'll go from overweight to ideal weight) will be most noticeable! (least I hope so!)

Well done you!

Dancing or long walks :)

Nevermind, obv just a spam post. No interest in actually answering my question.

18 months. It was my wedding day, and tbh I was at my heaviest then.

I don't think it's the lack of curves on her midsection that's the problem. She has a very 'boyish' figure, with an extra 30lbs on she would still look boyish. If you had a flat stomach, but had a wide hip frame, you would look considerably curvier than her, but just as fit and 'muscley'.

I wouldn't listen all that much to BMI, being less than 5 foot tall, my ideal BMI is pretty damn low. A level I have never been even at my thinnest (and fitting into UK size 8 clothing) since my adult life. I think when somebody is very overweight, it is often very normal in the weight loss process to lose muscle mass…

No.... welll actually yes maybe once... but only because I've walked (non-strenuously) for about 4 hours that day (say walking around the beach or something) and burned over 1500 calories.. and I've only eaten 1500 calories that day. It is not something I intend to make a habit of. I want to lose weight more than the next…

When you weigh an extra 60lbs more than you should do... I think doing cardio at that weight kind of is a weight training.... and I only ever do cardio, yet have managed to burn 25lbs....

I guess it was a minor case of depression... I no longer wanted to dance... I danced for hours and hours through my childhood and teens, and I LOVED it, but hitting my 20's the desire just left me... I only became overweight in my 20's (I'm 25 now), I was always quite lean in my teens, had a bit of curve but nothing that…

4-6 weeks, otherwise I don't see a big enough difference to spur me on

Jillian Michaels - 6 pack in 6 weeks, drink more water, avoid starchy carbs (go for wholemeal and wholewheat when you can).
