try starting with just a walk & keep adding on

I agree with you that it doesn't have to be. I'm still working on getting to my goal weight; I haven't succeeded yet. I work with a personal trainer 3x/week who has a Tanita Ironman scale, where it tells you muscle mass, % body fat and such. He weighs me on it once/month so we have an idea of where I'm at as far as % body…

Divorced...as of Monday.

I've been drinking diet soda since I was 12. The only thing I can add is that when I recently stopped drinking it for 2 week, I noticed that my cravings for junk food were greatly diminished.

thanks for the idea - it sounds good & I never thought of that before.

Me too. Good luck!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!! That's awesome! I successfully did the same; so i know it's not easily done. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to yourself. NICELY done!!! Due to weight gain, I had been on blood pressure & high cholesterol medicines for 7 years. I'm now off both & have dropped my resting heart rate from…

Thank you for sharing your story! and welcone to ONEderland. I'm just about there, but not quite yet. Your story is inspiring. Keep up the hard work & the results will pay off, as you are starting to see for yourself.

Thank you for your thoughts! I appreciate them!

I cannot STAND this phrase, for exactly this reason. My husband (soon-to-be-ex, I will add) used this phrase to explain his 6-month affair with an "escort." It makes me cringe every time I hear someone using it; even though, yes, I can understand the practicality of it. It's simply too popular currently.

I would go by Your HRM. That's what I do.

I do the very same thing. I joined WW in March. I had not been tracking WW for the past 6 months or so, just MFP. Through a lot of family stress at the same time, I've been losing/re-gaining the same 2-3 lbs since August. However, after talking to WW councilor & my trainer on Monday, I'm tracking both this week,…

Welcome back to MFP! I'm still struggling to lose weight also. I've been losing the same 2-3 lbs since August! Hopefully that will soon change though (I also have a great deal of stress that I'm dealing with at the same time, so it's not easy.) Even though I've been screwing up, I do find that logging EVERYTHING you eat…

Welcome to MFP! Feel free to add me if you wish. I'm still struggling to lose weight also. I've been losing the same 2-3 lbs since August! Hopefully that will soon change though (I also have a great deal of stress that I'm dealing with at the same time, so it's not easy.) Going into the new year with a positive outlook! We…

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey is also a good protein powder. 1 scoop has 120 calories, 1g fat, 3g carbs & 1g sugar, and 24g protein. I prefer Double Rich chocolate flavor. Both GNC & The Vitamin Shoppe sell this brand. Another quick & easy source of protein I use all the time is plain, nonfat greek yogurt. 6 oz…

Feel free to add me also. I work with a personal trainer; he wants me to eat no LESS than 1700 calories daily & would prefer 1800 -2000 (healthy choices, of course).

Tomorrow is the start of a new year; so make it a new start for you. Focus on making small changes for now, like eating a piece of fruit or vegetables with each meal & drinking water throughout the day. As inspiration, picture what you want to look like exactly 1 year from now- how you will feel, what you will be doing,…

for sports bras, I use Champion's Moving Comfort (www.movingcomfort.com), high impact. They are sized according to your regular bras size & work quite well. They're about $45 in a sporting goods store. (I'm currently 40D)

My trainer's bodyweight workout, 32 minutes & 537 calories

Welcome. I track calories on here (my trainer wants a daily report). I haven't been very good tracking WW points though. In fact, I just had a discussion with a WW staff member about that this morning. I've been losing the same 2-3 lbs since August. My goal for this week is to track my points daily.

I do WW also

If you saved the tacos as a meal (you can still go to that entry and do it if you did not), then you can log that meal again. It will post all the ingredients saved the first time; but you can then just delete the ingredients you didn't eat the second time.

AWESOME!!!!!!! Congratulations to you!!!!!! I just tested for 1st Dan in Tang Soo Do on October 10th. I don't know when I will hear if i passed/get my belt though (based on others, about 2 months). That's fabulous!
-
sorry - I only eat the plain ones.
-
My opinion is that regular food is better, but if you don't have time then protein bars are convenient & certainly better for you that fast foods.
-
I was 45 when I started Tang Soo Do & will be testing for black belt next Wednesday (I'm 48). Generally, I suggest to take your time stick with it & make sure you take the time to stretch before. Your flexibility will gradualy improve. Hopefully your instructor keeps in mind that you might not be able to so something as…
