  • I second the idea that a high sodium diet can come from processed foods, eating out, fast foods, etc. Soups and lunch meats are esp. high. There are a lot of hidden sodium sources such as MSG and other preservatives in processed foods. I read somewhere that those hidden sources are worse than the stuff that tastes salty…

  • You might want to be sure that you aren't overdoing soy. If that's the only place you're getting it, it might be o.k. I'm not sure what the daily recommendation is, but it is possible for women to have to much due to it being plant estrogen.
